i brought a keg last year in my rv and the security people that checked the rv out just kind of laughed and said "have a good time". i guess it just depends on the security people checking stuff.

Blue moon is one of the better cheap beers you can get but if I had my choice of a keg I would love a keg of St. Bernardious or the new 420 Blue at my camp.

i mean it is a VERY important piece of equipment. i got a tap that has a blue moon handle if they would try and take that there might be a fight.
So I'm assuming you have a Blue Moon tap handle to screw to the top of your tap. I would just separate the tap handle and place it in a different bag; bring along the rest of the components of your tap and I bet you'd be okay.
On another note, have you looked into bringing a non-Blue Moon tap? That way *IF* you got hassled, you wouldn't lose your Blue Moon tap since it'd be at home. Either way, good luck getting the keg itself in.
ok this isnt about a keg its a liquor question but i just was wondering do u think security will care at the check point if the pastic contaniers are open i was wanting to use some cheap vodka bottles and put some good liquor in it. Like really the question is do they check to see if the bottle is open and will they pour it out. Im just wondering because im wanting to drink good since they is my vacation...

If you put good liquor (that comes from a glass bottle) into a plastic flask or plastic bottle, I think you'll be okay.

kegs of blue moon cost 155 bucks with tax in Ohio, I hope they dont take it from you...They are good thou! Everyone seems to show up when we get a good keg....

don't know but can't be too hard to hide. our oberon mini keg is like 1.5 gal. so i think we'll just rap it in a blanket & toss it in a backpack. it was only $20 so we wouldn't be out too much (except delightful, summer brew beer to drink )
