My feet... I love my feet. They are short and I have little cute sausage toes and I think my feet are cute. But man can they sweat and get icky in shoes! However in the Crocs I had no issues at all. Each night at Bonnaroo I did leave them outside my tent and sprinkle them with Gold Bond, but I would wear them all day with no foot issues, no sweating, no stinking, no slipping. My feet didn't hurt at ALL until the very last day.
I took Reef flops too for around camp and did wear them the 1st day. The only thing with flops is if it rains; I remember seeing tons of pics of previous Bonnaroos where there would be mucky areas just full of abandoned flip flops. The mud would suck on them and you'd have a devil of a time getting around.
It may not rain, or it may be a mudfest; I suggest bringing shoes that will work just in case that happens

DO NOT JUST BRING A PAIR OF FLIP FLOPS TO BONNAROO!!! You need backups!
I was warned of this but did not listen. Big mistake. It rained and rained and I couldn't walk anywhere because 1. I'd get stuck and 2. I'd slip around everywhere because flip flops have no traction! My favorite pair of flippies ended up ditched into a big pile with other abandoned flippies in front the of Croc vendor.
I just bought a Kariza! It came last night and so far all I can figure out what to do with it is a skirt - at least without me looking like I"m wearing a mumu
But it's gorgeous and I feel like a gypsy. It has a red overskirt with pink and turquoise underneath. I got the 34" one and on my plus size, 5'5" self, it came to a couple of inches above my ankles.
I just bid on a 28" one that should be more just below the knee on me.

that is great knowledge for me to know. considering i am 5'5" and plus size as well. :-)
My 28" Kariza arrived last night. Very pretty! I'm about 5 ft. nuthin and it reaches just around my knees as a dress. Mid-calf as a skirt. Plus size will certainly affect how it closes around your waist or as a dress, but it seems wide enough that you should be able to close it completely, without a problem. I'd say that plus size (or big boobage/butt) would subtract a bit from the length, as well. I'm not plus size, but the boobs are a bit prominent on me. Kind of pulled the front of a dress-tie option up, in relation to the back of the dress (where my butt wasn't big enough to compensate).
I'm a little concerned about wearing it as a dress at 'Roo, if you go for a tie that uses the double width of silk (which it would appear, most do). Seems heavy for the heat. I could see it being breezy and comfy, if tied as a skirt. But with any of the dress-tie options that pull the fabric against your body, I do wonder if it wouldn't be a bit hot. I know that silk breathes, but it can also insulate (they make long underwear out of the stuff). Two layers in a form-fitting dress-tie sounds like it really could be warm. Anyone tried some of the more constrictive dress-ties in hot weather? I just noticed I looked sort of unflatteringly heavy in a loose dress-tie, since the dress just dropped straight down from as far out as my boobs go, instead of going back into the waist.
After all ya'll posts about the Kariza, I too bid on two (different lengths). I do worry about the muumuu-sorta look with my boobs, but will wait until I receive them. If they suck, I can return or maybe make some gorgeous pillowcases...

Holy crap! I've never heard of these Kariza things, but now that I've searched for them on eBay, I can't get enough of them! You guys are awful for my poor, hurting pocketbook... I think I MUST have one.

I am glad everyone loves their Karizas =)
I am considering purchasing that lot of 50 Karizas. I'd like to know how many of you would be interested in buying one off me if I got them. If there is enough interest, I'll purchase. I just don't want to be stuck with a bunch that I can't get rid of. Well I suppose I could sell them at Bonnaroo or something [wouldn't want to get into trouble though!]
I had that same thought about a double layer of silk being too warm. I really love the way the Karizas look, but I'm not sure they'll work for me since I overheat so easily. I also wonder about damaging them if I spritz myself with water during the day? Any thoughts?

Eek. I'll be spritzing with spray sunblock. Well, guess that will be a "Bonnaroo only" Kariza!
the one I got is a blend of mostly silk and a little polyester. It definitely seemed like it could hold up to water. Sunblock - who knows. But then it's a pattern so it may not matter that much.

back to birtch control.... im on seasonique and I only get my period 4 times a year. If you're already taking birth control pills everyday, i would totally look into it. my doctor recommended it and i love it.
I was taking the generic version of seasonique and it was awful! I had my period for 3 weeks straight! I'm sorry but I wouldn't recommend it from my experience.

So I'm very interested in these Kariza you gals are talkin' about.....did you just get them on ebay? I'm 5'2 and 120 lbs....what size should I get? Also does anybody know of any other cool hippie sites to buy clothes from......I don't shop online very often but it seems like the shizznit! Thanks! ;D

As far as size for your Kariza, first you need to decide how long of a skirt/dress/top you want. Measure from your waist down an then figure in your hips/ass/whatever and you'll get a general idea.
But it seems like the 34" would be an ankle length skirt on most. 28" would be below knee. 20" would be knee or above knee. And so on.

Heh, I have the opposite problem that you guys do. I'm 6'0 and I'm wondering how it would look on me (and if I could actually find one long enough if I want one to the ground...) Does anyone know if they sell long ones ;D
Rock me mama like wagon wheel, rock me mama any way you feel, hey, mama rock me. Rock me mama like the wind and the rain, rock me mama like a south-bound train, hey, mama rock me...

Nah you wont be able to find one that hits the ground. I have a shorter one but a long one is on its way. I'll let you know where it hits me, I'm 5'10" so we arent too far off!

i recently discovered freepeople.com....thanks to squirrel's recommendation when i was looking for a headband. THAT's how i want to dress all the time....i wish i could afford to buy everything from their catalog, but it's a little too expensive. looks like i'm going to have to recreate with target/forever 21/thrift store goodies. anyone have some recommendations?
I have a Kariza and brought it with me to last year's Bonnaroo with high hopes. However, once I got there I never actually wore it. The silkness of it was just too hot, and with no mirrors I wasn't about to try some of the harder wraps. Also, I was really afraid of ruining it, the one I got was pretty pricey. BUT, they are sooooo stinkin cute. I think I might bring it this year and just know that it will be a roo only item, and might get ruined.

I know, their stuff is super cute....but a little too pricey for me! I usually get a couple of cheap sundresses from Forever21. And, last year I got a last minute super cheap sundress from Wal-mart and it turned out being my fave of the whole trip!
Also, last year for one of the evenings that were chilly, I ended up wearing a piar of my bf's cargo shorts and a tank and was SUPER comfy. I think I will get myself a pair this year.
So I won a Kariza... one of the shorter ones (fell in love with the bright colors - reds and purples and oranges). It ended up being less than $20 including shipping. Once it arrives, I'll let you know what I think and will take some photographs of my 5'3" boobilicious size 12 bod in it ;D
