Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
128 pages and I'm done! ;D First up, thanks to all the lovely ladies and a few dudes who contributed to this thread. Gave me lotsa ideas for my first Bonnaroo (but not my first festival -- That was Summer Camp 2008!)
I'll be making some dresses, skirts, tunic dresses and possibly a hoodie I found a tutorial for on Craftster.org. Would post links but it's almost 2 a.m. and I'm cross-eyed and the links are in my Craftster account....
Big karma to alieblue for the tip on the Kmart bike shorts. Picking those up and also some awesome slim sports bras at Old Navy. I hoop and since I tend to do tricks while leaning forward, my boobs don't want to stay in a bathing suit (and I'm not that blessed). Already have the Alice style Crocs, bought 'em for hooping and they will be perfect for 'Roo!! All I really have to get that'll be more than $15/each will be a Camelbak (the 2008 sutra, found a good deal) and these leg pocket things from Etsy:
Good night and thanks again!
Whoa! You got a link for leg thingies? I'm seeing all kinds of great uses for one of those
wow kahoops. how long did it take you to read all of this?
hmm...I started about a week ago and would read the pages about 10-15 pages per go-round before work and before bed (skipped the weekend though). Some how I managed to get page 70 or 80 before yesterday evening and since my boyfriend was super-tired from getting up early and I didn't work today, I stayed up and powered through from about 9 p.m. - 2 a.m.
I'm glad I did it though cause I found a lot of good tips and some great links for clothing!

Yep!! www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=23251170 ElvinForestCreations on Etsy. I love their stuff; I'm going to get a dress and the pocket thing from them and I just bought this from another seller on Etsy, bravegrrl, today:
I love Etsy!! But I need to stop shopping sometime as I'll have that dress above, the one from ElvinForest I want to get, an apron top dress I bought earlier this year on Etsy, PLUS all the skirts and dresses I already own and the ones I'm going to make before 'Roo. I think I'll be prepared dress and skirt-wise

So with two research papers due next week I definitely don't have the time to read 129 pages, although I did try. Oh and this is my first Bonnaroo (and first post on here!) , so excited; however, I am definitely undecided on what kind of shoes to wear, I m not really a crocs or tevas girl and really don't feel like buying a pair just for bonnaroo. Does anyone know of a way that I can waterproof an old pair of Toms, they are pretty much the most comfy shoes ever but I'm sure they would absorb all sorts of junk, not being waterproofed.

Well, they do make waterproofing solution for shoes...it's usually sold near shoe polish, laces, etc. Not sure what Toms are made of, but I'm guessing canvas? I think your only concern with waterproofing would be whether the stuff would discolor the shoes.

I love etsy, too! That dress is adorable! Was it reasonably priced? I've never purchased clothes on etsy because it tends to be a bit expensive but I understand that the stuff is usually handmade. A seller on esty just made me some custom pillows to match my gold velvet couch
I've been on a vintage kick lately, and I've found that etsy has a lot of decently priced vintage items. I'm looking for a hat to wear to a wedding in a few weeks, and there are soooo many nice vintage hats on there. I think people should wear hats more often, like they used to in the 40s!

Yea, the dress was $29.99, so $35 after shipping and ya can't find good quality stuff like that here in the Boro for that amount, at least I have a hard time doing it. I'm picky about the clothes I buy cause I'm so short so etsy is great because if I need to, I can ask to have it custom fitted.
Their vintage selection is sooo great! I actually thought about getting a fedora to wear to Bonnaroo since I saw WickedHarem's topless hats here: www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=18920880 I thought it would cool, I just don't know how much shade my face would get. I would need the top to it, my scalp doesn't want to be burned!
I meant to ask yesterday how you fared with all the bad weather? Hope you were (and are) safe!
I assume you are asking me...
The sky got dark and it rained and lighentend for about ten minutes. That was about it. I was at work though and i was a little scared, until it blew over.
hey girls i saw a couple of pages back (can't seem to find it at the moment) that someone had made their own dress form. I was wondering how this was done cus i really really want one but they are just too expensive for me. could it be done by using something like chicken wire to make the shape and attaching it to a stand then filling with batting or something. i'm really interested in this so if anyone could help that would be awsome.
also, tarae that seller on e-bay is great! i love the skirts with the crochet top that can also be worn as a dress. too cool! but i'm one of those people who will not buy anything if i can make it myself. i guess i'll have to work on my crocheting (<-- not sure if that's actually a word)

I bought a dress today as well, from Ross, and it was only $13! They had some really cute dresses for under $20, I would highly suggest checking them out if you have one near you!

I got several from there a couple of weeks ago, all for less than $16, I think. They had a lot of cute, plus-size, Roo appropriate dresses. I'll have to post my haul soon.

ross is the best... they do have tons of summer dresses right now, and also nice tanks, scarves & sun hats
