I love it but I have a big chest and the halter alone will not give me enough support. I have a halter bathing suit top I could wear under it but beacuse I have a big chest my neck hurts after awhile from holding them up (booo). I'd like to wear something comfortable under the dress at roo but still want it to look nice. I figured I would just go with a thin strap bra and maybe just a tank top but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas or at least an idea of what color tank to wear under it ;D
i've been eyeing that dress! maybe i'll see ya walking around at this years bonnaroo. : )

So I innocently click on an Old Navy link to look at a cute dress and totally got sucked in... $75 later... But it was stuff I actually needed, so I'll live =)

Hi everyone, long time lurker here! I just want to thank you guys for all of your tips and suggestions for my first time at Roo. I can't believe I've read every page (not sure if it makes me pathetic, dedicated, or a bit of both), but I'm so glad I did since I picked up so much info!
By the way, does anyone know where I can find a lightweight cross body bag for Roo? I'm hoping it won't be too annoying to dance with like my shoulder bags can be.

I just returned that exact same dress today. It was a sad day. It was a pretty dress and the fabric was nice but it wasn't flattering to my figure. Pity.
I just tried to buy that same dress, but it was sold out in my size It's sooooo pretty.
Speaking of Soul-Flower, do any of you ladies happen to have this top? www.soul-flower.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SOS&Product_Code=AVA004&Category_Code=GHOOD I really really really want it, but according to the bust measurements, it wouldn't fit me. I'm wondering if it just measures weird because of the backlessness, and if my regular size would work. I want it so bad, but I think I may be being a little irrational about this. I mean, no matter how bad I want it, I can't make my boobs smaller!

It's not nearly as cute as the one from Living dreams so I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it or not. Slightly off subject, does anyone have a link to some exercises I can use to tone my shoulders, arms and back? I don't normally walk around in spaghetti straps so they need some work.

This is the BEST place to go. You can personalize your workout from areas of focus, duration, equipment you have, etc. I did a bootcamp one time that did sort of the same thing. You do each exercise for two minutes, as many times as you can do at your own pace and repeat three times. It helps to tone and burn fat moreso than actually build bulky muscle. Gosh, I've been dieting WAAAAY too long.

Definitely go to the store for these as opposed to ordering online. I got the EXACT SAME pink one listed there for $10, $5 on clearance in the store.
They also had a bunch of other fun things for super cheap like tye-dyed infinity scarves... I didn't get it, though. I have no idea how to use infinity scarves.
THESE bandeau tops are exactly what I have been searching for!! I have ton of cotton dresses that I wear during the summer, and for "real-world" wear, the v-necks generally show off a little more boob-ness than I'd like. So, I've been wearing tanks under the dresses... but then I'm dealing with the tank riding up and making wrinkles under the dress, and the added layer does NOT help at a sunday afternoon Braves game in July. SO - I found a black bandeau top a year ago, and it's perfect bc it covers the cleavage, without forcing me to wear a second layer over my foodie tummy. well of COURSE I couldnt find that brand again and I've been on a hunt ever since! THANK YOU for posting these!!!
PS - I still have many, many buttons for my GFT ladies! If you want, just PM me your address! And remember, these are my gift to you guys - no moola necessary
I'm glad I could help! I've tried these under tanks and dresses in the past couple days and I've found that wearing a strapless bra underneath really makes me feel more secure about 'wardrobe malfunctions'...(i'm itty bitty up top...bandeaus tend to slip down..lol). Also, If I buy a strapless bra one size smaller than what I normally wear I find they stay up better and don't show under low cut tops. Yayyyyyy!
I just went to Target tonight. Definitely bad for my budgeting, lol... I got this "swim coverup" I'm in love with. I love the colors
I couldn't find it online so just used the picture I took of my outfit for it. bathing suit top from Kmart ($12 i think), dress ($17) and leggings from walmart ($6)

Yes - I get my strapless bras band size one smaller and cup size one larger. Nothing's moving or falling out then!
Hm. I've been wondering what to do about the bra situation for my dresses. I've never had much luck with strapless bras especially since I'm really active and like to dance, jump, cartwheel, etc. I guess I'll have to try this method out though. I'll make it my weekend quest. I have a hard enough time finding bras in a 32 band size. I've never seen one in a 30 but hopefully I can find one to bring to Roo with me!
Thanks for the link I found a few skirts that I really liked.
Those dresses from Ross are super cute and they passed the all important spin test! I've thought so much about the dresses I'll be wearing during the day I havent even thought about night time clothes. Do ya'll usually just wear jeans or what??
I had a bit of a Roo Fashion Epiphany this weekend. I have these two dresses I wore to Bonnaroo in '08 - smocked/elasticized bodice, floaty skirt (like the cute tie-dye one you posted above but with straps):
Well after having Emerson these dresses (one navy, one pink) no longer fit in the bust. But hey... I can snip off the straps and they make fantastic swirly skirts! I tried it on the navy one last night and it was cute and comfy. If I can't find any sundresses I like for Roo, I can totally rock these with a little tank top. Yay!
For all you ladies that have a hard time finding bras - especially the more than blessed ladies, I highly recommend going to one of the high end department stores for a real bra fitting. 1) you probably aren't wearing the right size, and they will get you the right size, and 2) they will have any size you can imagine and they will be cute and actually lift you! I went to Nordstroms a couple years ago because I had a hard time finding bras in my size (34D). I soon found out that I'm actually a 34DDD, and they had a ton to choose from. I know have cute bras that actually fit and a strapless that actually holds me up. The best part was that once I had a good bra, people suddenly started asking me if I lost weight. Bras like that can be expensive, but I now buy the exact same bras on ebay for half the price.
