what is the availability of Canadian beer in Tennessee like? Generally when I'm in America, I'm visiting northern states, where it is incredibly easy to find dirt cheap Canadian beer.
So yeah, how easy is it to find Canadian beer 'round those parts?
You can probably find Molson and Labatt. But why not try some American beer that you can't find in Canada?
I have tried a plenty and have yet to find one that I enjoy as much as a cold Labbatt Blue or an Alexander Kieths. I'm sure there are any number of good microbrewed beers in the states, but generally all I see are Budweiser, Coors and so forth.

labatt blue is everywhere in the states...
but we have TONS of great microbrews!! you just have to find the right stores. try going to beeradvocate.com to search for good beer stores in some of the cities you'll be traveling through.

Did someone say beer? Thankfully, after many drudging and painful years of wallowing in the ignorance of the Beer Dark Ages, America is going through a Beerenaissance. There are tons of microbreweries cropping up all over the place. Here are a few of my favorites: Bell's Two-Hearted (Michigan) Mirror Pond (Oregon) Rogue Dead Guy (Oregon) Rogue Shakespeare Stout (Oregon) Abita Turbodog (Louisiana) Dixie Blackened Voodoo (Louisiana, where else?) Fat Tire (Colorado) Blackstone Nut Brown Ale (Tennessee)

i dont know anything about beer, however, i love to shop. if you post some beers or pm me (might be better so that i see it) i will go around to the local larger stores and see what they have. last year i found a couple of things at walmart of all places - but that was here in nashville and they said they stocked it for roo. we have several larger stores and im wondering if they might even order some for me if i asked them to do so.

Curious as to what your favorites are so I can give you some recommendations. I'm bar managing at a big expat bar in Brussels, Belgium right now and bar managed in NYC for a few years before that. would love to throw you some suggestions.
well thank you everyone for the suggestions. As for the cheap part, that's a relative term. a twelve pack of Labbatt Blue will run you around 18 bucks in Winnipeg, but I've found it for about half that price in Wisconsin. Alcohol, cigarettes and the such are taxed like crazy up here, so when I go the the states, it seems like everything is so cheap. Everything sinful at least... lol

I tend to like pale and brown ales.
Well, admittedly I am a fan of hoppy light lagers, but here are some things I think you'd like, American and otherwise: Leffe Brun is a nice, rich dark beer. They also have a light and amber. Brooklyn Brewery has a good IPA, Brooklyn IPA Otter Creek from vermont has a good pale ale, they might be at the fest this year, actually
well Pilsner I have never been a fan of. As for football, if 89 was a long time ago, come Grey Cup time next year, 1990 will have been just as long, if you catch my drift

Now this may sound odd, but I've never been a huge beer Drinker ( this may be a posting suicide) usually Whiskey or Vodka, maybe a nice rum, but since my past venture to Mexico I found the oh so Chick Drink, the "strawberry daiquiri" to not only be refreshing when it's hot out, but they taste good too. Will there be any sort of Crushed Ice drinks at Bonnaroo? Or is this considered a Major Music festy Fopa?.......Just throwing it out there.

In the past(as far as I know) the only official alcoholic drinks include a variety of beers and wine coolers(jack daniels country coolers I believe)
That said, before you enter the centeroo gates, there are many 'entrepreneurs' with wares like frozen daiquiris, blue hawaiians, frozen margs, jungle juice, jaeger, and plenty of others. They are usually a good deal in terms of alcoholic content, but the taste can vary pretty wildly. The margaritas are pretty hit or miss in my experience, and the others can be quite syrupy/sweet.
maybe I'll stick to "whatever is available"....besides, the experience of the Roo, will end up taking precident over everything else......don't you think?

im not a beer person at all...ive tried it and most i can't stand...a really great friend of mine is like a beer god...he drinks alot of microbrews and imports...(some of it is really weird)
and he HATES yuengling...hahaha...who would have ever thought a pa person could hate yuengling...
