looking at pictures of the sea of parking/camping , just wondering if a veteran can answer me this. are bathrooms within a reasonable distance, considering a lot of ,um water will be consumed by a whole bunch of people? are the lines long?

there are porta potties set up within a 5 min walkin distance no matter where you camp. it depends on where you camp. sometimes in the mornings there are lines like 4 people deep or so but for the most part you arent going to be waiting in line much. also they keep them pretty clean...considering .
the porto potties are abundant in the camping area and usually there is hardly a line. I've been to other fests where there are 50,000 less people and the bathroom situation was MUCH worse than at roo. They keep them pretty clean. The ones in centeroo can get a little messy, but you can deal.
bring a headlamp into the potties at night... otherwise it's very dark and mysterious... two words that don't mesh well with portapotties
but, I make a case for the fact that sometimes it is better not to see in the portapotties at night that way you can blissfully go on your way none the wiser

i have to say the potties are remarkably clean given the crowd. yes they are still portas but they service them often. if you really hate dirty portas you can pretty much try to time your visit and get them when they are clean. i sure appreciate the contractor who does roo. we have had events in downtown nashville and most of them were plain up nasty and gross and that was much less time and much fewer people!

Just out of curiosity, when/where did you empty the bucket?

Just out of curiosity, when/where did you empty the bucket?
When I got home. The bucket was lined with a trash bag. Before using, I put another bag inside that, after use I would tie that bag in a knot and leave in the bottom of the bucket.
You can also buy this powder at camping stores that you measure and pour in and it turns liquid to a gel for easier disposal
so where exactly do you use the luggable loo? In your tent??? In your car???? Out in the open???
I think I would much rather use a porta potty.
Luggable Lou's are really meant for out in the woods where no one else is around. We have used them hunting. It's better than digging a hole when you got to go. Sorry for the rhyme.
