I heard on the radio this morning that Willie was unable to finnish a show and will be cancelling his tour dates in May and June to undergo surgery for his carpel tunnel. Bad news... =[ Maybe he will make a comeback!
No No No, the Redheaded Stranger cannot cancel. I have been sooooooo looking forward to seeeing him live. Not that I don't believe it from ya, but has this been confirmed anywhere?
ERIE, Pa. -- Willie Nelson has canceled concerts for the next two months to have surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome, a promoter said.
The 71-year-old country-western star, whose hits include "Whiskey River" and "On the Road Again," was apparently in so much pain he couldn't finish a show Saturday in Las Vegas.
Nelson had ten concerts scheduled for the remainder of May and June, including an appearance at the three-day Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tenn., beginning June 11.
Nooooo! I've never had the pleasure of seeing him live! D*mn it! I wanted to be able to tell my kida i saw willie when i was 22 so they could tell me how old i am.
Do you think they will try to pull in another big act? Or just spread out what they already have...this would help with most's scheduling conflicts. It will never happen, but panic could play any day and i would be just fine!

this is bad news but i do wish willie a speedy and good recovery.. carpel tunnel is a pain and i can imagine being his age and trying to play the guitar...
maybe he'll feel better enough to come out to check out the festival and sit in on a couple of songs with someone.
Wow..a month to go to the date and one of the biggest names down for the count. If this was a smaller band like Carcker I am sure Bonnaroo wouldn't make a replacement, but this is too big of a void to let go. I will be very surprised if they don't have a replacement for him.
Sorry for the harsh language, but that really sucks man, I was sooooo looking forward to seeing him . Having him on the bill was the biggest surprise this year. That would have been right up there on the list like James Brown last year. Man what a sweet show that was. Anybody notice though how he kept checkin out the dancer next to him ;D? My lady and I still get a laugh out of that one.
I hope he's alright and the surgery goes well though. We're pullin' for ya Willie.
Thanks for the update too Teine, good lookin'
Why can't I seem to get that font changing stuff to work though, what up with that?

It would be cool if keller played but I just don't think it will fit his schedule. He has to be in Santa Rose, CA on June 13th. So he would have to basically have to catch a plane right afterwards.
Panic is on a break this year so they won't do it. I personally wasnt going to see him, because Isaw him at Hookahville. Its cool to say you've seen him but thats about it
Superfly is going to have to pull a rabbit out there ass if Willie isn't OK.
Damn!!!! I was looking forward to his show...I've seen him a few times and he has always put on a fantastic show! Maybe they'll replace him with the band that I'm most upset about not being there this year...Col. Bruce Hampton and The Codetalkers I know that they don't have a gig scheduled that weekend, but they are playing in the area (Huntsville, AL, Atlanta, Ga) around those dates.
Bela` Fleck and the gang are going to be in the area as well later that week. Man I'm still hoping that they make it into the show somewhere. This would be a perfect opportunity. Oh please oh please oh please let there be Bela`at B'roo.
panic would be great! wont happen though keller or the wailers!!! yes g love and jack johnson...ive been praying for them to be added since the begining!

It won't happen because they aren't big enough bands to play for 40,000. Keller was in a tent last year, you can't go from there to the main stage. They need to get another huge act (the Flecktones) who could actually draw the huge crowd.
Plus, Keller's sound can't work on 40,000 people. Jack Johnson failed miserably last year on the main stage.

I actually wondered if Outkast might play w/Robt Randolph, they played together at the Grammy's. Would be a cool way for me to get introduced to their music.
I would love to see the Allman Brothers but i heard that Derek Trucks already has a prior engagment with his band that weekend. Maybe another Superjam or something if they can't find a replacement.

Personally I really hope Outkast does not come. They have two big of a following that doesn't listen to any of the bands already their. I think that might ruin the vibe a little. Just my opinion!

personally, i would love to see outkast. To be honest, the allmans kind of bored me last year. an as much of a trooper as warren is, i think even he may have trouble playing 3-12 with only a couple hours off (Mule>allmans>dead). I think the logical thing would be to move dylan to that spot (playing right before the dead could lead to him guesting for their set) and SCI playing in his original slot. Both bands are big enough to play the main stage and that way Superfly is not forced to find a huge act in a month.
