I think the Dungen stuff is pure speculation, but I'd like to see it. As far as I know, Umphrey's/Bisco is the only thing that has had "late night" specifically mentioned from a credible source. From what I know of Dresden Dolls, they almost seem like a must for late night, and no particular reason I have a feeling that a Dungen-->DJ?-->Dresden Dolls tent could happen. I don't know that one of the larger tents has been all DJs all night before (although the disco is), so I'm not expecting that but who knows.
I'm confused now. Before this announcement, I thought a Lyrics Born/Blackalicious Friday late night tent was a lock. With the hip-hop additions, I'm not so sure. I feel even more certain we'll get late night hip-hop, but less positive it will be the Quannum crew (still hoping it is). Could there be late night hip-hop both nights?

Tortured Soul is playing Thursday night (according to their website) - which is awesome, since I didn't really dig much of the Thursday night stuff last year. However, in '04, PEELANDER-Z RULED. Hopefully Electric Eel Shock will bring it too.
I'm really concerned about the late night situation. I DO NOT want to miss Oysterhead, OR Sasha, OR Beck. BUT I'd like them all to be late-night acts. Eek - the life decisions of Bonnaroo..
I really don't think Beck will play Late Night. If he does, I don't think it will be during Oysterhead. I do have to admit you might get screwed out of seeing Sasha. But who knows.

I'm hoping that, if there are any crazy conflicts (esp. Sasha v. Oysterhead, for me), they'll at least stagger the set times (a la Trey & KDTU last year), so I can see a reasonable amount of both.
Someone said they got an e-mail saying Oysterhead is Friday and Les is Saturday. This is getting real interesting. I wonder who is doing the late night on Sat now besides Sasha. I keep on hearing that Beck will play before Radiohead. I think this is where the last 2 additions come in play. There might be a big player that can do a late night.
Actually..this might place that New Orleans Jam to the second stage. My question is will that leave a huge void during the day if Nevill Bros and Dr.John play at night?
I really hope Adams gets added (hopefully with the Cardinals, not with Lesh). He's atop my realistic wishlist, along with Damien Rice and Sufjan Stevens. I'm surprised he has never played Bonnaroo; like you said, he'd be a perfect late-afternoon act on either stage. He's doing a few solo shows in late-April, which could be a good sign, but I'm not sure of his band's current status.
The Oysterhead on Fri. news in the Schedule thread is really confusing, but I still have a feeling that some of the info will turn out to be wrong and we'll get Oysterhead late night one night and Umphrey's/Bisco the other.
Maybe Oysterhead and Umphrey's will play one after the other? Which would make each set shorter, but I'd rather see them each for 2 or 3 hours than only one for 5.
now that it looks like oysterhead is fri i would think that they would play first as they only have about 2 -21/2 hours of material, and thats if they jam some stuff out for quite a while....that would leave plenty of time for umph/bisco to jam till sunup, they better not have these 2 competeing... that would suck.. i guess i could miss some of umph bisco but id really prefer not to.....and i would assume that it might increase the chances that beck will be a sat latenight, i hope they do 2 stage latenights this year instead of 1.... i still think beck might end up playing in the daytime but ive got my fingers crossed for a latenight or atleast an after dark show....us jammers have a limited number of acts this year they cant be having them conflict with eachother
i thought saturday seemed perfect for a dual latenight seeing as how radiohead dosent seem to normally play a long enough show to fill a whole headline slot and oysterhead dosent really have a whole lot of material...this throws a wrench in that though

We'll see when it comes out... I dont think oysterhead and ump/bisco are going to be on the same night though....
Actually, i really dont know...
I think it would be safe to say that if they use the 2nd stage for a latenight it will be Oysterhead... I assume... I sure as hell dont know anything for sure...
you are thinking of bryan adams who did that i do it for you crap... although his older stuff is good. but they are talking about ryan adams. you should check it out, much better then "everything i do, i do it for you"
I don't see Ryan showing up. The guy is way too much of a headcase, I think he would flip out at the crowd and walk off the stage. Second considering he is the most prolific artist out right now, I am sure he is working on another album, I mean he did release three last year.
yeah, adams has a bad reputation live. he gets confrontational with crowds, hurts himself, drinks too much, gets booed, so on and so forth. booking him is always going to be a risk for that reason. but it's not outside the realm of possibility that he'd play bonnaroo.

i hear adams has been more "chill" recently in concert. ever since he toured for jacksonville city nights i've heard nothing but good things. it would be cool if he got added all of his albums are great
Ryan Adams is great, and some kind of Whiskeytown reunion would make Bonnaroo too big for that farm. I don't see him adding to Bonnaroo because it would draw too much attention and I think he would likely think the gig to be "too mainstream" (please lets not start on that again; just don't think a crowd that large is his scene). I've heard a number of good Ryan Adams stories; Adams bad live reputations stems from two things: a) he gets drunk a lot, which sometimes makes for a bad show and b) His crowds tend to taunt him, often in hopes of provoking one of his known outbursts. I know that at a lot of his shows people will request "Summer of '69" (the Bryan Adams song) in hopes of pissing Ryan off.
So in his defense, its a two way street, sometimes he's bad, sometimes it the crowd, sometimes is mutual.
