I think the people of Superfly are paying attention to this forum and just screwing with us, or so I hope. There better be at least a few more big announcements. Did anyone see the recent announcements to Wakarusa - Flaming Lips to headline, STS9, hot buttered rum, moonshine still, alfred howard and the K23 Orchestra, Larry Keel and Natural Bridge. Bonnaroo is starting to look weaker and weaker compared to the other festivals. Waka, 10KLakes, AllGood, Lallapalooza are starting to look a lot stronger than Roo. The initial line-up was great but Roo is just not competing with the other festivals in artist additions

I disagree strongly with this. I still think that Bonnaroo and Lolla have the two best lineups out there this year. The other festivals severely lack in the diversity that these two have.

^ I still think the Roo line-up is great, the artist additions are just lacking in comparison to the strength of the initial line-up and besides Oysterhead and Radiohead, none of the bands are all that unique to Roo. Regardless I'm not going to complain, I have had a ticket since they went on sale and am still stoked about the festival. I just expected more in artist additions after seeing the initial line-up. But hey there are still 2 more rounds and the initial line-up was enough for me to buy a ticket. Just wish June would come sooner than the next 2 rounds of additions.

I do enjoy the diversity of Bonnaroo but at the same time I am really pumped for Pitchfork simply for the lack of diversity. I like knowing I get a good weekend of solid rock n roll.

Yeah, after wakarusa i dont know if im going to be able to move so i shouldnt complain about Roo having so many less bands that im after... That and i do plan on using roo as my exposure to some new live music experiences... Just dont hate on us peeps for wanting more of what we get down to added... (Not saying that anyone here was, but more of a general statement)

hey did anyone see Galactic play with Juvenile on the Jimmy Kimmel show.... I really hope that isnt a pairing that gets added...
as per my predictions... I do think pearl jam and I do think afternoon acoustic set on main stage... right before Petty.... which means no ABB but oh well... it would make me happy
others I think will be added... Fiona Apple, Theivery Corporation (Roo definitely needs more DJS), and Keller Williams Incident (also getting a main stage set... likely before Phil and Friends)
regarding Cypress Hill... I definitely think Superfly regards them as a "major" announcement... just look how high they are listed on the bonnaroo main site... i still give a resounding boo to the round 4 additions despite the good hip-hop acts... diversity yes... but what holds this festival together? I don't have any idea anymore... certainly not jambands which is what bonnaroo was all about the first year

String cheese incident, wilco, mogwai, stereolab, sigur ros, the flaming lips, and yo la tengo; though i doubt we'll be lucky enough to get any of these. At least we have the heads!
Yeah, there's way too much hip/hop. Let's see by my count we have...6 hip/hop acts. WOW. Too much. And if you've really paid attention to the individual sounds of the group, you really only have 4 straight up hip/hop acts. Cypress Hill is more rap metal now. And The Streets is not even grime, it's garage. So really you have Common, Atmosphere, Blackalicious and Lyrics Born as the hip/hop acts. And once again, they all represent very different styles and regions of rap.
Now if you really want to talk about a genre that's over represented at roo, I think alt-country qualifies as one.
Even better would be Trainwreck, which is Tenacious D's illegitimate southern-rock love child. I've seen the wreck 3 times, and they are HILARIOUS and also rock so hard they will melt your brain... they would be a LOT of fun at Bonnaroo

i'm pretty satisfied with the line-up..i think it is diverse and interesting..it's 06'..millions of bands and sounds out there and i see ROO touching base w/as many as possible to represent all ARTIST and musik lovers..rite on..and for me personally,i'd like to see TOM WAITSand PEAL JAM,i mean hell, MARLEY blood'sgonna be der'!!YAAAAA!!
Where do you guys think Superfly would fit in Pearl Jam?!?!?....There is no headlining spot and Pearl Jam would not play a 45-90 min. set, so why are you all getting so excited?

The main stage acts prior to the headliners have previously played from 5:30 to 7:30. I could see them doing a 2 hour set.

I'll say it 'til the day I die. GEORGE CLINTON & P-FUNK.
I really don't understand how they HAVEN'T played roo yet. It would be the most off-the-hook party in the history of the universe. Aliens would descend from the heavens.

I can totally see that slot going to Pearl Jam. I've said it before, the same spot held by the Black Crowes would fit Pearl Jam perfectly. Plus if they played before Tom Petty I can see their slot being extended a little bit, maybe until 8:00 with Petty coming on at 8:45 - 9:00

I second the george clinton/p funk. I've always felt that they should play bonnaroo since the first year. Seeing as how theres only one (maybe 2) big slots left, I am hoping that they will be filled by George Clinton and/or WEEN. But i think it is much less far-featched (and a bit more dissapointing) that Pearl Jam might get the Crowes slot from last year.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
