Anyone else listen to these guys?
they have got to be one of the best bands out there right now. I would love to see them get a spot for the weekend, although it seems like quite a slim chance. They could send a late night set into space! I'm gonna cross my fingers and toes and just hope.
I love STS9! I dont know about the best band out there but, there one of my favorites. I love there electronic out of this world sound with hip hop groove and beats. There show at Bonnaroo last year was probably my favorite besides the mars volta. I wish they would've been added this year but there not. Maybe next year.
For me STS9 is what Bonnaroo is all about. I knew nothing about this band going into my first Roo. If someone would have tried to explain to their music I would have said it wasn't my thing. I caught them at Roo on accident the first time and was totally mesmerized, I haven't missed them since. They now comprise a large part of my live music library. It was an eye opening experince for me and taught me a valuable lesson in the process. They have that undefinable "thing" on top of their passion and talent that makes them a great band.

Yeah a whole completely unique vibe... when you think about soundtribe you think about this certain sound and feeling and emotion and craziness. They sound so different..

yeah, I tell people, crazy jungle ass hip hop beats with trance electronica layover with sweet mixes and theyre like uhh naww....but listen to them and are blown away....see them and in love. definately one of the very few best going nowadays.
Yeah if someone had tried to describe their music to me I also would have said "huh? i'll pass," but no one did describe it luckily - I wondered into their show on Friday night and it was AMAZING... I bought one of their CDs as soon as I got home. I love discovering new, unexpected artists that I like at roo.
love these guys, seeing them tonight in buffalo actually - can't wait, it's been 4 or 5 years since the last time i saw them - way too long to wait, but the wait's almost over!
OK sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm not all that computer literate when it goes beyong e-mail and forums... but that archive thing, I clicked on it and it opened up right in iTunes, but it's got a little icon to the left of it, does this mean you can only listen to it online (streaming?) or is it possible to actually download the songs so I can take it on my ipod?

^It usually takes a while before the shows on this website are available for a full download. A lot of the time you can download each song individually underneath the streaming icon. Just search for sound tribe and sort by date, this will be one of the first shows that comes up. You can download the flac files for each individual song. I use a program called MacFlac to expand to alter these files into readable music files. I am not sure how windows works. Maybe the other type of files are for computers running on windows.

i hadnt heard much of sts9 before last years roo. their set last year is what made me fall in love with them, they blew my mind!
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

Ok so I listened to these shows and to be honest they didn't really grab me.....
Maybe I need to actually see them to get it? There are a bunch of other people I had never heard (John Butler Trio, Damien Rice, Cold War Kids, The Black Keys) and I am hooked and won't be missing them, but STS9 just isn't doing it for me
