Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I've seen NIN live three times. All three times have been nothing but amazing. While they wouldn't be a great fit for Roo, I'd love to see them there.
Ditto. They've been my favorite band since '89. I've seen then almost a dozen times. Dunno about Roo because I don't think some NIN fans and some jamband fans would like each other, but any time to see NIN is good as far as I'm concerned.
You know, the more I think about it, I think that one headliner is not going to be a typical band, but more some sort of one-time or rare collaboration. I think that's one of the few things they could do to really get a 'wow' and set themselves above other festivals.
Kind of like the Telluride House Band - that's a gathering that you won't likely find elsewhere.

See I know Superfly keeps trying to please its jamband crowd. So, every year you see at least one true jamband headlining. I would not mind one bit if the Super Jam got put in the Sunday headlining slot. I could only imagine what type of guest colaborations could come out of this. And I'm not talking a Superjam like last year, where it was a set band, that was already going to play shows together. I'm talking flat out thrown together Superjam...
Trey, Warren, Claypool, sh*t even people like Vedder maybe. Now that would kick ass. Plus for the most part you know it would be covers, so it would please the hell out of the crowd, because they would know the songs.

hey everybody
just recently found this board again, this year will be my third roo and can't wait... i have been following pearl jam on tour for quite some time now, and recently there has been some talk (not too much) over at their board about bonnaroo, it seems like everybody is getting their rumors from the same place, etc... but somehow after seeing a thread over there i found the link for this board again
anyway, pearl jam playing roo would be a dream come true, but i will wait until the initial announcement like everybody else instead of getting my hopes up... so the possibility of pj playing roo seemed like a long shot at first, they just finished touring the world, from last may until the first week of novemeber, the boys need a break and all that, it just seemed unlikely that they would play a one-off show of this size anywhere, usually between tours they do smaller shows and benefits, things of that sort
but after reading this billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003530183 i can't help but think that roo is a possibility after all, there has also been talk of more fests over in europe, as well as some shows in the southern us, which they didn't tour in 2006, this guys mentioned rumors for 2007 summer tour plans, which to most people in the pj community was the first actual hint of any touring plans for the upcoming year
it's not likely to hear anything from pearl jam's camp about bonnaroo any time soon, so we shall wait and see with the initial announcement, but this report may lend some hope to the rumors of pj at bonnaroo
Good first post! Thanks for the info on their (rumored) 2007 tour, someone said they thought they were staying put for a long period after this recent tour finished, which had knocked them down a little in my mind.
I think that internet activity plays a big part in their playing or not. If the Superfly/AC people are as active as people think, then they will have seen all the Pearl Jam talk and I would hope have looked into it pretty heavily.

Thanks
yeah, i was assuming they were going to take 2007 off and then hit the studio, mainly due to family reasons and, well they just went across the us twice, europe, and australia... so most people expected a break of some sort
that article definitely changes things though, news from the band is often few and far between, so it's articles like these that we rely on for touring info, even the new song they talked about was announced by a radio station in seattle, i hope they are monitoring the internet sites like these, and given what is out there now with this article mentioning summer touring and the fact that the band literally skipped all the southern states is really making a believer out of me

Ironically, I'm in the process of moving to Syracuse! But I'm a Thruway Guy and Toronto is never too far away. (Nor is Buffalo and Mighty Taco!!!!)
