Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I imagine they are familiar. Probably in litigation about the similarity of the names, haha. They are more of a southern rock influenced band though. Toured quite a bit with Shooter last fall. Peep their myspace if you so desire.
I know it was there last year. If I remember correctly, it was at the very back of the What Stage field in a small tent. Didn't check out anything going on there, but it was there nonetheless.
Smashing Pumpkins just announced they are playing a festival in Germany June 2 and 3. There were rumours last year of Pumpkins reuniting at Bonnaroo. Maybe they headline this year!

I hope not. I wouldn't mind them playing there, but I wouldn't go to their show so I really hope they don't headline.

No worries bout the Pumpkins headlining or playing Bonnaroo. They are supposed to be playing Europe all summer and if they weren't, they would be more likely to headline Lollapalooza in Chicago (Corgan's hometown) than Bonnaroo. Pumpkins may play Glastonbury though.
I wouldn't mind the Pumpkins playing, but I've assumed for a long time that they were gonna play Lollapalooza, so I've never seriously thought about them at Roo.

does anybody think the bands listed at the top of the page in the ads by google mean anything, everytime i log on here there are new bands, some that definitely could play roo, is this just a coincedence, or are the answers right under our noses, i'm gonna start keeping a list of all these bands

Yeah, it's Goodle AdWords. Their search engine looks for keywords in our posts, then chooses appropriate banner ads. By me typing "Viagra", I'm greatly increasing the chance that we'll have some ads now about erectile dysfunction (and that phrase helped, too).

Genesis has had ads up there, so no. I do not think those are hints.
Not like this is a big surprise but My Morning Jacket looks like they'll be playing, according to Last.fm and the Bonnaroo event. Heres the Link: www.last.fm/event/97667

...a Roo without MMJ just don't seem right. I ran into Jim James at a Yo La Tengo in Louisville on Thursday. Said they wouldn't miss Bonnaroo for anything....
Last.fm is about as credible as Wikpedia. Sorry, I mean I'd be thrilled if they were confirmed, but I'll wait until I see it somewhere a little more real.
Bonnaroo's MySpace site has Wilco and The Roots among it's top friends. Not sure if they just rotate artists past/present in and out, but if not, their placement would seem sort of telling. Add this to the OkayPlayer rumors and I'd bet The Roots are a lock. Plus, Wilco were always likely with the new album and all, so I'd all but guarantee their presence also.

Worst case scenarios could really happen if these two were there. Both are different types of artists, and I love them both. Problem is, because they are so different musically, and both bigger names, the very well could both be preheadliner acts on seperate stages at the same time.
