I like that Arctic Monkeys album. It's pretty...interesting.
Right now for me, it's:
LCD Soundsystem - S/t Jens Lekman - Oh Jens, You're So Silent Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins - Rabbit Fur Coat Vitalic - OK Cowboy The Hold Steady - Separation Sunday The Silver Jews - Tanglewood Numbers
Tell me more about this. I see the name fairly often and would rather see what you have to say before I go reading reviews at AMG or Amazon, or something. As for me...

As for Vitalic, it sort of depends on how you feel about electronic music.
For an album full of electronic music, it's rich, has tons of personality, and is entirely listenable. I don't really know who to liken it to. It has very little "clubbiness" to it. But a great groove.
It's just the sort of thing that you put on in the car and it takes over the wheel.
I recommend getting your hands on a song first and seeing what you think. Try "Space Invaders are Smoking Grass."
If you're into the electronic thing, I also recommend Ladytron's new album "The Witching Hour."
By the way, I've been having a bit of a Dylan kick lately too. I've returned to "Highway 61 Revisited." Can't get Queen Jane Approximately out of my head.
I'll have to check out the Vitalic disc. The Ladytron album didn't turn me on at all for some reason. I should have kept it longer, but I deleted it when I was drunk.
I always go through Dylan spurts here and there where it's all I'll listen to! The gf bought me the remastered version of BIABH, which I hadn't gotten around to hearing. After being blown away by the Highway 61 remaster, I knew I'd be thrilled. Eventually I'll get around to replacing all of mine with the remasters, but it's hard to bring myself to purchase a disc I already have.
AC/DC - Live Album Hells Bells right now. It always good to rock out in the morning at work. Thats the good thing about working in a warehouse you can blast your music.
BLANCHE - If We Can't Trust The Doctors... REDWALLS - De Nova ALAN ASTOR - Everything Is Possible LED ZEPPELIN - III ANIMALS - Singles Collection BUDDY HOLLY - The "Chirping" Crickets BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN - Darkness On The Edge Of Town NEIL YOUNG - Prairie Wind BOB DYLAN - Live At The Gaslight 1962
I know it seems like a lot to currently be listening to, but my whole day is pretty much dedicated to doing this. Tomorrow will be a totally different list.
BLANCHE - If We Can't Trust The Doctors... REDWALLS - De Nova BOB DYLAN - Live At The Gaslight 1962
I should dig out that Blanche album again -- fun stuff.
The Redwalls, I absolutely ADORE a few songs, but there's a fair part of that album that leaves me cold. Regardless, it's a very promising debut. They're a lot of fun live also.

I love Dylan's cover of "Moonshiner."
I saw Blanche at Empty Bottle and it was one of the best shows I had seen in a while. I guess the time before that Jack White got on stage with them and played, but not this time. Moonshiner is also my favorite song on there along with Rocks and Gravel. One of the last times I saw Dylan he did a real loud version of John Brown also which was crazy, few months ago, see him so often I can't remember the exact show, maybe auditoreum. Now Listening...
Raconteurs - Steady As She Goes / Store Bought Bones White Stripes - Black Jack Davey / Walking With A Ghost
I agree also about the Redwalls, I really enjoy their albums but sometimes they sound so much like Lennon it leaves me feeling a little weird, But i guess if we can't have the real thing these days maybe we can get a good substitue?
Danger Doom - The Mouse and the Mask Hustle & Flow Soundtrack Atmosphere - I Can't Believe How Much Fun We're Having Cat Power - The Greatest Brother Ali - Shadows in the Sun The Mars Volta - Scab Dates
These are the six discs in my player right now. I tend to think of myself as much more "alt" than hip hop, but either my musical tastes have changed or underground/alt music sucks right now.
Any "must hear" albums out now for someone into Bjork, Sonic Youth (They'd be a GREAT addition to this year's lineup), Guided by Voices, Minutemen, etc...?
Great album! I was just putting "Festival" on a mix for someone yesterday and got all caught up in the Dungen album instead. I think the title track would blow more than a few minds. I don't see it happening, but if the schedulers have any sense, they'll give them a late night set.

ditto...great album. saw them at the Intonation festival and although it was in middle of the day and a somewhat shortened set, it was still amazing. My guess would be that they get an afternoon set =(
So the new Flips is getting better with each listen. There's supposedly a higher quality rip floating around now, but I'm going to hold off until the actual album comes out. I'll just post the "W.A.N.D." single cover (because the art rules and what not) in place of the whole album cover...

The secret machines from last year's roo. I must say i wasn't too impressed w/ their studio stuff but this show sounds pretty baddass and I kinda wish I'd caught it. I forget if it ws KDTU or Galactic's Krewe de Carnival that I was at that night, so I guess I really can't complain.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

I used soulseek (p2p file sharing program, just google and you'll find it) to find a lot of stuff from last year. Put "bonnaroo 2005" in your wishlist, leave it running a few hours, you'll find tons of shows. I've found Keller, Jack Johnson, WSP, half of the Dave set, Herbie Hancock, My Morning Jacket, J-5, Joh Prine, Iron and Wine, STS9, and a couple others on there.
