^^^I was listening to that again not too long ago, and realizing how truly excellent "You've Got a Friend" is as a composition. The way the chords carry the melody along, which in turn underpins the lyrics, plus all the little touches she puts into her piano. It's darn near perfect.

This was the defining album of my childhood. My mom had a tape constantly playing the car. Side A - Carole King. Side B - Linda Ronstadt. Used to drive me crazy, but looking back, I realize how good Tapestry really is.
Lost this album a few years ago.... never dl'd or ripped it to the comp. Found it today at the record store for $3. Along with another great album that has been worn to hell and back for $3:

Dreaming of Saturday night at the farm. My 9 year old son was jamming to Even Flow on his guitar hero game earlier and myself and the rest of the kids were jumping and dancing. All I could think of was doing this with 80,000 of my closest friends down on the farm. Can not wait, come on June!
