I try to only buy LPs, but that's not always posible. When I do get a new record, I burn it so that it will be more accessible and portable. I'm burning this one yet again because I seem to keep giving my copies away whenever I start talking about how great these guys are:

Oh, I just got that one!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I know I am a bit behind, sue me. ;D
a gift from my brother... Never heard of this band before, but they're a crazy trippy prog. rock german band...
I am surprised you haven't heard of Can before. Their best stuff are the three albums they did with Damo Suzuki. Ege Bamyasi is one of them, but definetly check out Tago Mago and Future Days.

Though the saying does go "All roads lead back to Can," most people really don't know of them... I only found out about them in 7th grade (around '99=2000) and have been hooked since. But, I agree, the Damo Suzuki is their best material. He also did a few songs on the "Soundtracks" compilation of theirs, most notably my namesake, "Mother Sky." They have a live album also with Damo, but other than his stuff, Can was kind of bland after "Soon Over Babaluma." Great, great stuff though... as I said, many rock historians say that just about any band that means anything over the past 30 years is mostly result of what Can did and innovated.

^^^Well, shoot! Get off yer keester and do it already! Seriously, it is an excellent live DVD. It's interspersed with brief interview footage, which rounds it out well. And of course the performances are top-notch-- Vic and Sandip Burman trading solos during "A Moment So Close" comes immediately to mind. My only complaint would be that there should be more selections from other albums than just the one they were touring for, "Outbound". But it's still one kickass live DVD.
