i've come to the conclusion that maybe tool at bonnaroo isn't such a bad idea, with the way everything in the music industry is changing-festivals, ways to get music, the scene-besides, tool is good competition for rage at coachella imo

I dont think you can really put tool and korn in the same category, tool would fit much better at bonnaroo. I dont think theres really anyone out that thinks korn should play, but a lot that would like to see tool, myself included.
Couldn't agree more, Zig! I'm not a big fan of Tool, but they could definitely work at Roo(late night, preferably). While it's not necessarily "my thing", they are a pretty good band. I'd probably be there as long as they didn't conflict with someone better. Korn, on the otherhand, is not. It's just played-out pop metal bullsh*t, in my opinion. Watch their "Unplugged" and tell me (with a straight face) that they have the chops to play Bonnaroo.
Are people really starting to seriously talk about Prince playing Bonnaroo? That would be great, but I don't see it happening.
Tool would be an incredible fit for Bonnaroo...what about all those people last year that said they didn't want Radiohead there? I'm not a big fan of "nu-metal," and I don't like most new metal/rock bands, but I like Tool, and I don't even like them that much. If you've never listened to Aenima, just gotten completely out of your head and listened to Aenima, in the dark, you probably shouldn't be discussing anything on this thread. That album will destroy and remake your mind. Hey, come on, Trey called them "the most psychedelic band out there right now" about four months ago.
Korn, no. If any of you would go check, wikipedia removed the "Korn" from the list. The list remains the same except for that, so it looks like the bands on the list are for real, because wikipedia is very good about checking facts. I've seen three different lineups on it this year, all of which were taken off very quickly. (One time, I got on and found a crazy lineup, and I refreshed the page and it was already gone, they had deleted the entire "07" part of it.)
Haha, right after I posted that - well, a good ten to fifteen minutes afterward - someone took down Arcade Fire on wikipedia and replaced it with Korn. Maybe we have a prankster?
Someone's been putting alot of effort into the Wiki site. There is a pretty strong section of set lists from last year and 2003 and 2002. Thats pretty good stuff, and would take a little bit of time to do. At least someone is taking it a little seriously.

you mean maybe the same way we take this board too seriously sometimes?.....but only b/c we love it so much.
Yeah, it's pretty impressive how well they maintain it, considering the amount of information there. Whatever the deal was with that fake lineup yesterday, last year they had a rumored lineup and it pretty much all turned out to be true, and they had it up weeks before the announcement date. This time it seems like they're cracking down on unverifiable information, or maybe even responding to the wishes of the people running the festival.
Some of the things people manage to sneak into pages in Wikipedia are actually pretty funny. It never lasts more than a day, but people get some great stuff in there. The George W. page is a fun one to check up on every now and then.
For all you videogame fanatics (especially if you played the old Mario Bros. games on the NES), go to Wikipedia and look up "Doki Doki Panic."
