While we're getting anal, you might want to drop "The Melody Makers" from Ziggy Marley. He's only listed solo on the bonnaroo website (although, the leaked line up had the Melody Makers listed, which makes me think Stephen and Jr. Gong are going to get added, then they will announce that it's a Melody Makers' show.)

Oh please no. I really am hoping that Damien doesn't play on the main stage. His concerts are meant to be small and intimate. That's the type of atmosphere his music thrives under. I am thinking he'll play an evening tent show. Hopefully.
yeah i don't see him playign a stage; damien's a tent man, afetrall if he was out int he sn that long imagine the sunburn his fair irish skin would get. i plan on being front for this show even w/o lisa
Kings of Leon..now I am definitely confused! Their website has them on Friday now. www.kingsofleon.com/tour Maybe this is explained by the previous post that they had been "upgraded" to the main stage.

I'm surprised that Ornette is on Sunday, considering James Blood Ulmer is Friday.
I also think the Kings of Leon moving to Friday is interesting. Does anyone get the feeling that Superfly may have planned the following for Friday afternoon on the What Stage:
String Cheese Incident Manu Chao Tool
But since they realized that people would be dissappointed if SCI were not late night, they changed it as follows:
Quite possible that would be Friday's night schedule. I think the nights schedules will shape up like this:
Friday:
String Cheese Incident The Roots Sound Tribe Sector Nine
Saturday:
Flaming Lips Govt Mule Sasha and John Digweed
Thats pretty good late night if you ask me, personally its the Roots, and the Flaming Lips for me. If Manu is a preheadliner though I may make my Friday
The Nightwatchman Tortoise Manu Chao Tool
Good prediction on Friday's What Stage^^^^(previous post)

It would probably be the same for me as well. But why stop there? After the Roots are done on Friday STS9 will no doubt still be raging very late into the night. Same with Saturday, and Mule. I did this last year with MMJ. When they finished I headed over to the Disco Biscuits and caught the last hour of their show.
My late nights (if that is the line-up) would look like this:
Friday: The Roots-->STS9
Saturday: Flaming Lips-->Mule
You honestly could probably catch at least 1-2 hours of both STS9 and Mule.

I think the late nights will look as follows:
Friday Night
This Tent: SCI ---> STS9 That Tent: Unannounced Indie Group (Explosions in the Sky? Interpol?) Other Tent: The Roots
Saturday Night:
This Tent: The Flaming Lips ---> Girl Talk ---> Sasha and Digweed That Tent: Gov't Mule Other Tent: Superjam: Galactic + El-P + Aesop Rock + Other Hip Hop

Damn! Congratulations, you are the first and only person who has brought up a feasible idea of how the superjam could still be late night. A Hip-Hop superjam! There is no way they would have put a traditional superjam against Mule on Saturday, or SCI-->STS9 on Friday. They are just too similar. Hopefully your indie latenight prediction is right for friday night, but I could see it being Manu Chao.
im thinking we are likely to get string cheese in the afternoon. and a keller williams incident latenight. possibly as the super jam. it makes sense. its pretty much what they did at the first roo. and with this being their last it seems likely to me.. and KWI was an amazing show from 02. over 3 hours. insanely good show! ive got the offical soundboard release. pm me if your interested. maybe its just wishful thinking on my part but i think its more likely then not. i hope its on friday. id hate to have to skip mule if this was superjam on saturday night.

Added to Kings of Leon being switched to Friday, so has Bob Weir and Ratdog, look at the link that is there and it says June 15th, as does JamBase. I'm beginning to really think we are going to see late night String Cheese Incident. Look at it this way. String Cheese probably will not play before Tool on the main stage. This slot will probably go to Manu Chao and with all the Deadheads there, at the least the Which Stage preheadlining is needed for Bob Weir and Ratdog. I'm beginning to really think late night may turn into
Friday
Tents:
String Cheese Incident
Sound Tribe Sector Nine
and EL-P, Aseop Rock, and DJ Shadow
I'm beginning to think The Roots will play a slot similar to Cypress Hill, heres hoping for Saturday.
Superfly is definately up to something though moving Bob Weir and Ratdog AND Kings of Leon to Friday.

i'm hoping they bring back the latenight show on the which stage from like 12:30-2:30am(trey 2005) but i hope they have it both friday and saturday, if i had any say in the schedule at all the latenight shows would be something like this:

i can deffinatly see friday preheadlining conflict-o-rama being
manu choa- mainstage ratdog- secnd stage black keys- big tent (already confirmed playing at 5) damien rice- second biggest tent dierks bently- last tent
Post by famousblueraincoat on Apr 5, 2007 13:53:07 GMT -5
That's going to be a tough choice. I may have to see half of each set. Ratdog and Manu will probably be staggered so that you could still catch the last hour of Ratdog after Manu. By the way, Ratdog's myspace site still has them listed as Sunday.
Post by BonnarooDetective on Apr 5, 2007 13:56:45 GMT -5
Perhaps a late night tent with Ratdog then SCI? This would make a lot of people happy, but also presents a big conflict with STS9 (sometimes late night choices are the hardest).
im hoping that the lips on sat night is just everyones prediction and not fact. i think id rather see them on fri late night, and leave my sat late night more open for a dance party type of thing.
Also, JamBase and Bob Weir's website and fan site have him listed on the 15th so I have no idea what day he is playing and Kings of Leon is definately now on the 15th.
If you look back in the thread, I emailed their (The Flaming Lips) management. They said its likely to be Saturday at midnight (meaning going into sunday) because I asked if they'd play before or after the Police or late night or daytime show, I can't remember which one I asked, but they said they would probably play late night but it wasn't confirmed.

I seriously doubt that Keller will open for Gov't Mule. That would reduce the time of Mule to about average fest set time, and they have straight up said that that's not the case.
Post by BonnarooDetective on Apr 5, 2007 22:48:29 GMT -5
I would really really love it if Keller was late night, although I think it's doubtful . . . that set could go on for 3 hours, tons of guests- the kind of show you can only see at roo.
