From Ziggy Marley's website:
June 14, 2007 place: Bonnaroo address: city/state: Manchester, Tennessee phone: notes: ** Festival Date ** ** Ziggy's performance day will be announced soon **
Even though it says the 14th, that doesn't mean that hes playing Thursday. They just put that day up because thats the start of the festival.
Because the festival usually closes out with a jam band, not a hard rock band.
Let alone a psychedelic/prog/metal band. Man, I'm so pumped.
no offense, but coming from someone who generally considers himself a "metalhead", theres no metal in Tool at all. They're one of my favorite bands, but they're really not at all metal.
IF theyre allowed to play it looks like rodrigo y gabriela thursday.
Rodrigo Y Gabriela scheduled American dates:

Do they think he's going to bring a bomb in his guitar case or what? C'mon immigration, give the man his visa and let him play!!!!
Hmmmm. That may interfere with my plans for Friday. Bieng as it is SCI and Tool's day as well. My plans were to have extra fun that day but seeing Richard Thompson is going to require much attention so I hope he's playing very early in the day.
"Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man's original virtue. It is through disobedience and rebellion that progress has been made." Oscar Wilde (1854 - 1900), The Soul of Man Under Socialism
"You're either on the bus or off the bus." Ken Kesey
"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." Hunter S. Thompson
I think I just gave karma to ratskrad for getting me the RT info I craved and for quoting a hymn (!)...I hope I did it right. It's my first karma bestowal here.
It's gonna be hard to resist sneaking off from 'Roo to see more RT shows. It's what I do; he's my Jerry, you know?

That is one big tent show. I don't think any day act has ever played anything over 2 hours. This may be the first time they have given a band this much time to play in the day. That being said, I will believe that Ween has this big of a time slot when Bonnaroo announces the schedule.

Well maybe this is an explanation as to why we haven't seen more artist additions, perhaps this as big as the tent/stage lineup is going to get, with the rest of the bands being bands who are playing the lounges, in favor of artists having longer sets. Personally, I like Ween but, I don't think they are good enough to be the only band to get a much longer set time. If that's true and not just a general frame, I'm betting we are going to be see our favorite bands play a bit longer.
Also, I'm pretty sure Franz Ferdinand is going to be Thursday's band cause the festival dates are on the left side, and then on the right is usually the date they are going to play. I bet they will "headline" Thursday now that its a full day. So I think its safe to put Franz on Thursday.

I'm pretty sure John Butler Trio is on Friday, 6/15/07, thats what it was listed as when they announced it on the page back in December and every other date that was previously listed as far as other bands playing Bonnaroo goes, is still the same. Just a reminder even if it doesn't go on the list.

Forgive me for 1) getting off topic, 2) being a contrarian, and 3) beating a dead horse, but I really don't think we can count on Thursday being a full day, with a headliner and all. There's evidence to that point, but also evidence to the contrary (i.e. Juggernaut's email reply from Bonnaroo stating the the festival begins at noon on Friday). And also I still don't think Ween will play a 2 hr 45 min set in a tent-- no daytime tent show has ever been scheduled for more than 90 minutes and I don't think they'd change that for Ween, regardless of what their website says right now. Like much of the info being collected in this thread, none of it should be taken as gospel until we get the official word from Superfly. And this goes double for stuff that seems suspicious or out of the ordinary.

I think you are 100% right. I posted in another thread about the whole Thursday thing, and in the Ween thread about the tent show. I just don't see Superfly making this big of a change now. It would be awesome if we started to see more longer day sets, but I just don't see it. Ween will get 2 hours at best.
Also, in regards to no new artist additions:
Superfly has said that this is a 4 day festival. If you believe, like I do, that this is just their way of advertising Thursday for the first time, then you would also believe that the number of artists should be close to last years. Well they only had 80 something main acts last year, and a bunch of cafe acts. This would make me think that them advertising over 100 acts would be there way of including the cafe acts, just like advertising the festival as a 4 day festival, when it has always been a 4 day festival.
So, I believe that we will not see more acts this year. We will not see a full day Thursday. This is just Superfly's way of making the festival seem bigger, when in reality it is basically the same as last year.
The one big bummer about the whole thing would be the fact that, if I am right, we won't see many more artists added this year. This would explain why we have seen nothing in the form of artist additions. Superfly blew their load on the initial announcement, and honestly, while I would love to see more bands added, I am satisfied with the list as is.
