What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
"The Nightwatchman is my political folk alter ego. I've been writing these songs and playing them at open mic nights with friends for some time. This is the first time I've toured with it. When I play open mic nights, it's announced as The Nightwatchman. There will be kids there who are fans of my electric guitar playing, and you see them there scratching their heads.
But it's something that I enjoy doing. I look at it more as an extension of my politics. Then again, some of the songs are not explicitly political. It really helped me grow as an artist and songwriter. Once you prick the vein you never know what is going to come out. You could aim for all union songs and you find yourself in other territory."
Also, Morello and Maynard from Tool are buds. I would love to see some collaboration at the Roo.

this is fing nuts. i didnt even realize. i kept passing by this thread thinking who are the nightwatchman? i didnt open though until couple mins ago. fing tom morello will be at the roo. awesome!
I don't mean to discredit Tom's acoustic work or anything like that, but god I hope his being at Roo brings out a collaboration somewhere. The guy brought thrilling new sounds out of the guitar and is also a great shredder playing straight. If he were to show up and guest at any show I was at, then I'd be thrilled.

I could see him showing up for Tool. APC and Audioslave played Lolla back in the day together, and Maynard is friends with Brad Wilk...I think they're actually all friends. That would kick ass!

Tom being at Roo brings up a bunch of interesting scenarios. An acoustic set with Zach as mentioned and even better, him and Zach coming out during Tool and playing Know Your Enemy which maynard sings on. That would possibly be one of the coolest things I can imagine happening, we would still get a lil Rage.

today's news probably has no impact on tom morello at bonnaroo, but chris cornell has officialy left audioslave, effectivelly putting an end to audioslave... with the "one off" rage reunion and tom's plans to tour as the nightwatchman it seems like it will stay this way at least for bonnaroo, but for rage fans this is a hint of possible things to come

People where throwing around a ton of ideas in the Superjam thread. I think Tom should at least make a 10 minute appearance during Superjam. I think there will be something special. Just struck me as odd that TNW was playing.
I'm glad Chris Cornell is doing some solo work, I always dug Euphoria Morning. Just a little disappointed because after RATM was announced for Coachella I was praying for a Soundgarden reunion. Given my taste in music has taken a different trail since I was younger, I still absolutely love Soundgarden. Im dying to see them get back together so Kim can abuse his guitar in front of the masses again.
