They have,^ so as i've been saying, dont be suprised if its 4 full days this year. I think a lot of your guys are just underestimating them calling it a 4 day fest. I'm not saying it is for sure, but it definatly wouldnt suprise me.
^^Perhaps, but why the f**k would they tell you or me or anyone of us what they're doing on Thursday? I mean, it could be the truth, but then believing anything AC/Superfly has to say before they annouce shit is like believing Nick Sabin when he promises to stay the head coach of your team...
But just to stoke the fire of speculation, WSP took the Bonnaroo date down from the myspace page.

^^^Except they already told us it's a four day festival...with the dates...on their site...and in the ticket info.
I'm not saying it's a grand conspiracy. I'm just saying it's foolish to think they would be straight up with you or give you a bunch of useful info before tickets go on sale. If it were after tickets were on sale, and after they'd released their yearly guide of dos, don'ts and helpful info, then yes, I'd take your email response more seriously. But until then, it's all smokes and mirrors to me. And a confirmation email's about as useful to me as a "I talked to the guy in the band at a bar" post.
how do you know? isn't that the point of a conspiracy, that its secret? if you knew, than it wouldn't be a conspiracy because you'd know. but the fact that you don't know lends itself strongly to the fact that there could be a conspiracy, because if you knew... ;D round, and round, and round we go hehehe
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
I'm pretty sure thursday is going to be a full day of music. They've been selling the fest this year as a four day event, and if a band has posted that they play at 1 PM on thursday, I believe it. I don't think it's a mistake, or that they'll start late. Just because bands have started late for late night sets, that does not relate much to very early sets, what's going to delay the first guys to play on the first day? But this is all just my own speculation, so, don't get mad... ;D

I'm pretty sure thursday is going to be a full day of music.
Betcha 20 bucks.
Ha! I like that, if they don't have a full day thursday you'd win $20, and if they DO then you can sue them and pay me ot of your vast bags of money! But no, I don't gamble money anymore... let's wager a beer at the brooer's tent eh?

They may not provide a full day of music on thursday but, you can definitely count on several (if not more)bands playing. For the last coupe of years, the musical activity has steadily increased on thursday and I see no reason why this year should be any different. It may not add-up to whatever you may call a "full day" but, it's definitely going to be fuller than any other average Thursday this year.

To me, it just looks like they are finally acknowledging the Thursday night as a part of the festival (hence the "June 14th-17th" part), rather than making a drastic (extra day of music, extra headliner) change.
There is no grand conspiracy. If they were going to extend the fest by a full day of music, they would say so. They would never tell a paying customer by email that the bands started on Friday at noon when it was actually starting a day earlier. I mean come on. Yes there will be surprises, no they won't be doing a full extra day of music.
how are they acknowledging music on thursday by saying that the music starts at noon on friday??? they are telling you, a paying customer who asked a direct question about music on thursday, that the music starts on friday. now wouldnt you be pissed if you showed up at 10 am on friday only to find out that you missed several great shows thursday night? we all know 100 percent for sure that the music dosent start friday at noon. so why is this even such a discussion? the email obviously tells us nothing. everyone in the universe knows tha the music is starting sometime on thursday. some email saying it starts at noon on friday is obviously false to everyone. and it is obviously superfly telling a customer something that is flat not true. it all seems obvious to me.

i dont know why superfly is intentionally misleading its customers that are looking to arrive early and spend an extra day worth of money. seems pretty stupid of them.
but to any newbs please do not take this email as its true . it isnt. there will be music thursday night!!!! 100 percent for sure! maybe more then that but the night music is a given 100 percent for sure. dont show up friday morning hearing about all the great shows you missed while you grumble about some official email you saw on the internet.
The way that I see it is that they are not "really" counting Thursday, due to no headliner for that day, but there will be music. The "music" will not start until Friday at noon, dictates the offical kick-off of the festival. They are just acknowledging that there will be music on Thursday, thus the 4 day fest. Kind of an offical, of the unoffical offical beginging.

ya i can seee them saying that. but then why call it a 4 day music festival if there is only 'official"music friday saturday and sunday?
and this was a response to a customer asking a very direct and specific question about music on thursday. even said he was basing his travel and work plans on this info. and they tell him that music starts at noon on friday? superfly sucks.
think what you want about what will happen on thursday. but that info is flat out wrong!!! what a horrible thing to do to the customers your overcharging!

okay. ill buy that. but what about the customer that asked for info in regards to taking vacation time from work and making travel plans and was told music starts at noon on fri????? there is no excuse for that. we all know that there will be music on thursday and so do they. why screw someone out of part of what they payed for by not telling someone that there will be music on thursday night? luckily there is places like inforoo to pick up the slack for superfly. nuts we are even makin their artist announcements for them now.
