I am thinking Flogging Molly is playing for sure at Bonnaroo. I'm going to see them tonight in Nashville and I found this:
Upcoming In-Stores In-stores are all free and all ages, always.
FLOGGING MOLLY – Wednesday, March 14 @ 5PM Hey, it’s Flogging Molly! Playing in our record store! Flogging Molly is one of those bands that everyone says “you gotta see ‘em LIVE!” and as good as the records are, it’s definitely the live show where life-long fans are made. Their mix of Irish pub traditional and enthusiastic punk rock goes down like a fresh pint of Guiness – tasty, filling and it makes your head wiggy. The LA seven-piece quickly rose from their pubrockin’ roots and have been on the road almost non-stop ever since. They’re playing Bonnaroo this year as well but we got ‘em now, on a Wednesday afternoon prior to their big gig at City Hall. Come over and hoist a pint with us! www.myspace.com/floggingmolly at www.grimeys.com/news.html
I say AWESOME news. For anyone who doesn't know Flogging Molly, you are in for a seriously energetic show. A must see. We saw the original Dave King Band play at Molly Malone's in Los Angeles about 50 times on Monday nights in the 90's --- way back when the same songs were just kick a** songs, not classified as punk.
I hope it is true. I will ask Dave tonight if I get a chance. Later!!!

I saw Flggong Molly at Warped Tour in VA and not until i read this thread did i realize that they are perfect for bonnaroo. There's 8 members of the band and they give off such great energy. You feel like you're in a true irish pub when you see these guys live.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

I love Flogging Molly, but I don't know if they would make a good Bonnaroo addition. I've seen them twice and both times there was drunk, irish moshing going on (which I took part in, of course), but I don't think moshing really has a place at Bonnaroo.
^ i dont think there will be bonnaroo just due to the lack of people that do that stuff at bonnaroo. there arent gonan be many people that come jsut for FM, but if there were more punk type shows at ROo im sure you would see some. and also, if people wanna mosh, let em mosh, you dont have to join in and its quite fun if your drunk enough.
Cool ad. I just bought the new Young Dubliners' CD today and was thinking about what a great add they'd be. I'm okay with FM, too, though. I wouldn't worry too much about moshing but I'd still like to see them late night for full drunken enthusiasm!!!
While I'd prefer the Tossers, I'll take Flogging Molly! Ironically, I just downloaded some of their stuff this morning, in anticipation of St. Patty's Day.

D'OH! Just looked at their tour page and they have a date in Finland on June 15th. I suppose it isnt out of the question. Thursday maybe? sunday? Great find!
I pray this is right. I love me some flogging molly. I was just telling my buddy the other day Flogging Molly, Black 47 or Dropkick Murphys need to play roo. We need a good Irish band to play a late night. He agreed.
I'm not a huge Black 47 fan but I'd be on board with Dropkick Murphys. I'd also be cool with Great Big Sea or Seven Nations. For that matter, how 'bout something a bit more traditional like Natalie MacMaster, Glengarry Bhoys or Greenwich Meantime?
"They won't break me because the desire for freedom, and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then that we will see the rising of the moon."

It looks like we have some misinformation here. Those record store people must be high. We saw the sold-out Nashville show last night and Dave King (lead singer) told us that they will be in Europe during Bonnaroo. Bummer. We told him that it would be an awesome gig for them, so keep your fingers crossed for next year.
By the way, there was no mosh pit. Maybe because the Guinness ran out before the first band even started. Great show though - intense and tons of fun!

I have seen these guys at the local (but still quite a large event) annual Irish Fest we have in Dublin , OH. Pretty cool show, however playing for a bunch of drunk yuppies and high school kids wasn't the best place to see it.
