Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I saw them in Chicago, and they were great. A bit of a Short Show, but I would love to see them acoustic. Has anyone ever heard their version of Franz Ferdinan's "Take Me Out " ? But I would also love them to do a late night Disco Show. They would have to open with "Backwoods Discotech pt 2 "
I honestly believe this long wait is gonna hurt ticket sales next year in the sense that a lot more people are gonna actually wait for the announcments before they buy their tickets. The wait is gettin crazy now.
nah - unfortunately, we are the uberfans.
you're average "oh, hey, this festival looks cool - i think I'll go" fan doesn't know or care about additions.
As for SS being added - omg, that would kick ass. Same would go for Mika (some other new disco group - of the 10 seconds I listened, it was decent...)

^^^^ Word on the 'uberfans.' We're the "cream of the crop" when it comes to hardcore bonnaroovians. We basically know every single type of news that's out there when it comes out that has to do with Bonnaroo....So yeah, most people don't care enough to get bent out of shape about the artists like we are. I know that last year, when I bought my ticket, I wasn't checking the site everyday. I was excited about going, but everything esle was just a formality.

I dunno about that. While you are correct, we are the uberfans, and there exists a large group of less informed people out there who are not looking for additions, I still think that at this point it is starting to hurt sales. I have several friend considering Bonnaroo this year. However, their funds are limited, and they will only be making one festival this summer. They are weighing Bonnaroo against things like All Good, Lolla and even the fledgling Virgin festival. They always ask me "Has Bonnaroo added any more bands?" I think just adding one or two more big names is enough to push these kids over the edge, but for right now they are not buying tix to anything. Surely if I know a few people in this spot then there must be thousands of others.
Bonnaroo needs to announce something soon, Virgin just announced it's headliners, and although it is a much smaller festival, they still have The Police, in addition to the Beastie Boys and Smashing Pumpkins. Its time to remind the kiddies where the real festival is at.

(Not so) funny story:
Last night, my girlfriend and I were reading the Virgin Festival lineup and we noticed it was the same weekend as Lollapalooza. So, went to Lolla's website and clicked on "lineup". Our jaws dropped as we read the line-up. Then we realized it was from 2006.
Anyway, we'll end up at one of them - probably Lolla if Pearl Jam and Daft Punk are playing... I'll have seen the Police twice, don't care about the Pumpkins, and the Beastie Boys, while good, are just okay.

Yea, I was a little shocked at that too. Last year Virgin was not until September, so I didn't really understand the rationale behind moving it up a month and making it compete with a larger festival. But when I read further, the promoters said that that if they wanted The Police to headline, they had to move the festival to August, so I can't blame them. Good news for me though, because I'll still be at my home in Maryland for Virgin, and I won't have to drive back from college like I did last year.
I agree with the theory that they announced more than they wanted to initially because of the leak. I still hope they add 2 uber-awesome bands, though!

If that is actually the reason then I guess you all can blame me.

Haha....I suppose it is your fault! LoL! Totally just joking. I was thinking about that the other day, as far as everyone is concerned and knows about, the lineup was discovered that fateful day by one person, you....that's kinda surreal in a way because out of the thousands upon thousands (maybe even millions) that were anticipating the lineup, you were the first one.

I like it because I know that I was the first person outside of AC/Superfly that saw the lineup. That and the fabulous fame and fortune which has come with it. I haven't forgotten that several of you owe me beers. I like beer.
Leak or not though, we need some additions pronto . . . at the very least this is probably punishment . . . lesson learned Bonnaroo, I won't do it again . . . now please give me my Robert Randolph and I'll shut up.

Announcement or not, the same bands will be at the fest. Sure I love announcements and they are exciting but whats the big deal if we don't get any?
Well there'll be an announcement. Simply cause Superfly said so. We just don't know when. Plus, there's still another 20-30 artists still to be announced.
