I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!
Can 2 people with totally different tastes in music find a way to make it all work, without sacrificing too much?
My husband and I are night and day...and I mean NIGHT and DAY. I really need to be more open minded about some of his music so I am really going with excitement about being exposed to new bands. He is funny b/c we got an IPOD not too long ago and when ever a song comes on I don't really know or like, or there is a drummer just going on and on and on for like what feels like an eternity.....I am like "skip it!!!". He gets all on his soap box about how I had better start liking those songs since that is what we will be hearing in a month's time.
I also think a live setting makes it so much more exciting. Someone whom I might never listen to on the radio might really peak my interests at a concert.
I am sure you guys will find a way to make it work out!
P.S. Make the Man Dance! Bonnaroo is a dancers paradise.
Believe me I've tried. He's the only person I've ever seen who is able to keep his feet perfectly still for an ENTIRE bonnaroo. It's insane, I know, but he swears he's having a good time so I've learned to just let him be. I feel it's a personal victory if he starts bobbing his head ;D
besides I'm usually gettin' my groove on enough for the both of us
