The White Stripes will play an intimate show at the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville, TN this Friday, May 18th. This will be Jack and Meg’s first performance since December 2005. Tickets will be available exclusively through the band’s website via the presale link located at the top of the “shows” page starting at noon CST, Thursday, May 17th. There is a 2 ticket limit per person and the show is open to all fans 18 years of age and older.
Awesome! My girlfriend is a die hard Spektor fan, and I am a Stripes-a-holic. We were kind of worried about the 'roo conflict, but now we can see them both!! ;D

I've been waiting for this since Jack moved to Nashville. We finally got the Raconteurs close to the end of thier touring, and now we get a nice inaugural jaunt for the Icky Thump touring.
I was just about to post about this...I really want to go...and I am going to be in Nashville on 5/19 (Bright Eyes)....but my wife and I are both sick with stomach viruses (which we should both be over by then). I'm hoping she will realize how important this is to me...but I doubt it since I will see them at Roo AND we have front-row tickets for the 7/31 show in Memphis...

So... I'm graduating on the 18th so I won't be able to make it. That.... really sucks. Oh well, someone please leave a review! I'm still pumped about seeing them at Bonnaroo.
S***! The 18th is ALWAYS a bad day for me workwise....and I am already taking off the 18th of next month for 'Roo so I can't push it and be out of pocket early this month too....I KNOW I'll be stuck working late...........you guys make sure you have enough fun for all of us that can't go
The more I read, the more pumped I get... Did you all see the tour schedule after this show? It seems like Jack wanted to "re-unite" in his home town at a small venue before the tour kicks off... This is going to be awesome! I will do my best to write a review Saturday.... Hopefully, I will have some awesome video as well.

I feel like the thing with the tickets that came several minutes later were people who either held their tickets for too long, or whose credit card didn't go through. It is complete garbage that that can happen. There's got to be a better way so that if that happens, at least there's a queue and the next person in line can get them instead of thinking the show is sold-out and leaving. Also...lashing out is called for in a situation like this. I hat eit when this kind of stuff happens.
That said, I got some. Me and Bojangles22 are going. We both tried to get tickets when they went on sale and the website jerked me around till it was too late. Having multiple people to wait in line helps. I've been waiting on the White Stripes to play in Nashville for a long time. This is a glorious day. And a perfect leadup to the Bonnaroo show.
Well I've never seen the Stripes and don't know that much about them, but I figured this is one of those special type of shows where a huge artist plays a tiny venue and decided to get tickets this morning. I got 2 tickets and it turns out my friend can't go afterall. So I got 1 extra tickets I'd part w/ for $2000........just f**king around face plus service charge and taxes brought the 2 tickets out to $58.00 exactly so $29 bucks and this suckers yours. I'll have to get the tickets at will call, so I'm gonna get there around 7 so I don't miss anything. Just PM me if you're interested. Hopefuly its a great show, but I'm gonna go in w/ an open mind cuz it looks like they havent played live in a while. EDIT 2: Ticket not sold.......my friends back out cuz her mom is sick. So this offer still stands. I need to know ASAP cuz the show is in about 5hrs.
I can't go without her - that would be mean.
