Cons for 05: Widespread Jack Johnson OAR
Pros for 07: Yet Another Tent Tool Ornette Coleman Flaming Lips Ornette Coleman
Cons for 07: Widespread Franz Ferdinand Ween The Decemberists
Well, now that I put it all down, I guess I have to go with this year, because it doesn't have any bands I hate, like OAR. And the new tent is gonna be awesome.
(edit: yep I put Ornette down twice, because he should count twice!)
2003 for sure!!! Nothing beats that legendary Neil Young concert, the late night madness that was The Flaming Lips vs. Medeski Martin and Wood, and then the unforgettable James Brown opening up for the Dead. I will remember that weekend for the rest of my life!!!!!
Toughest poll question yet, but '03 was beyond incredible. There are no weak Bonnaroos, only weak people.
Honorable Mention: '02 and '07. (07 is full of potential)
But I've heard voices not in the head Out in the air they called ahead Through ripped out speakers Through thick and thin They found a shelter Under my skin -Evgeny Aleksandrovitch Nikolaev
i had to go with 06. last year was awesome. radiohead. oysterhead. my morning jacket. moe.. phil. dungen. gomez. it can go on and on. this year is gonna be batty as well.
Hell...last year I could've just seen Radiohead's show and be satisfied. That was the most amazing thing to witness. Especially since I waited all day up front. Priceless show

You know, there are only a few select bands from past roos that I would of really like to see, but the variety of this years just purely based on the lineup is amazing. I really wish I could of seen Praxis, C2B3, Oysterhead, Radiohead, Trey, Primus, and a few others but I am really happy that this will be my first year. It is going to be epic and I cant wait.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
the only year i went was 05 and i'm going this year. and it's hard to judge years that i wasn't there. i think i will vote 05 since 07 hasn't happened yet and because no one else is voting for 05.

after waiting patiently for the schedule so I could make an educated vote, I have to go with this year as the best lineup to date (and I've been every year). The schedule is neigh-flawless, precious few (and honestly unavoidable) conflicts, and some names I never thought I would get a chance to see. Combine that with two of my favorite touring bands, and we have a fest that just keeps getting better. In order 2007 2004 2003 2006 2002 2005
