Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Yeah. I'm still pulling for a JB/KG appearance, with the e-mail bonnaroo sent out a while back and all. To be honest, I'm suprised the Pick of Destiny isn't playing in the cinema tent.
I think it's pretty funny that people keep bringing up Rage as a Bonnaroo act....I saw them a handful of times back in the day....the crowds were excessively violent and aggressive...people were getting beaten up in every direction....it always felt like at any minute a riot was going to break out...point is, Rage are great live, unbeatable energy, but they are not compatible with the Bonnaroo crowd...having them on would be like having Metallica out there....on the other hand Metallica has recorded with symphony orchestras, and released at least one nine minute acoustic jam with John Popper...so maybe it would work!
Anyway, my guess for TBD is Caninus....you know that grind metal band that actually has a pitbull as their lead singer...it's gonna rock.
The name Whiskeytown keeps lingering in my head. Sigh, I know it will not happen. But, I'd settle for Ryan in any form.
That'd be sick......but i seriously doyubt it'd happen. Any Ryan Adams would be great though, I'm shocked he hasn't played 'Roo before. Seems like he be a percfect fit.
small stage, other bands playing so, the majority of the crowd is elsewhere. Not too many people around, but still a gathered mass nonetheless.
Everyones waiting around, the clock strikes 12. The curtain raises, and slowly walking onto the stage in the following order:
first: Rick Wright
followed by Nick Mason
after a brief delay and a few people gasping, but most people wondering who these guys are....
David Gilmour appears on stage
More gasps. A few people crying tears of joy.
Finally Roger Waters walks on stage.
Suddenly you begin to hear the intro to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond". More people (including myself) fall to their knees in tears.
I like the way your brain works I'd love to have Jim James there. I don't think it'd be that far fetched. I don't really care who plays, as long as Tom Morello is involved.

I mean seriously when was the last time Tom Waits did a tour of the U.S. that was official. I can't ever find where he's playing listed on the internet, and I have almost all his cds. Including the latest Orphans.

i want 2 drum sets, stanton moore on one, questlove on the other, i want percussion, there's plenty of bands with whom percussive instruments could be utilized, i want tons of brass, i know some people from cadillac jones are gonna be there, borrow them. maybe maceo parker and/or pbs and/or the meters and/or dirty dozen. borrow the mardi gras indians for eye candy. get tom morello up there on one guitar, get jimmy herring and warren haynes on the other two. get james blood ulmer out for a couple blues and hendrix numbers. borrow jack cook and ralph stanley for a couple bluegrass numbers. find a bassist that can improv like crazy.

I have some odd feeling that (if it's not an already established band) that it's going to be ?uestlove, Robert Randolph, and assorted others doing a set of old school soul and funk. Just a hunch.
