For me it's Feist, whom I haven't seen anyone else mention. Both her albums are just amazingly good, with some songs reaching near perfection in their compositional quality. She's got a gorgeous voice, and she ain't bad to look at, neither.

I think I should also mention Lilly Allen. She's really talented. Unfortunately, I won't see her. But she's still really good and I'm sad I'm missing her

^^^Gogol Bordello are insane live! I did some photography for them (which is on their My Space page) a while back and it was one of the most off the wall FUN performances I've seen in a long time....Eugene is a mad man and he's surrounded himself with equals!!!
I have them ranked higher than any of the headliners on my must see list!
haven't really dug too deep for new stuff this year because my schedule is alread pretty mapped out. i will be watching some bands that i'm not realyl familair with though. black angels, only know one cold war kids song, tortoise, all the fri. late night stuff will be new to me. ocms, mardi gras indians, john butler trio and the decemberists. i've actually avoided listening to anything new because i don't want to create more conflicts for myself.

Rod y Gab - I had never heard of this supertastic duo before until I saw them on the lineup and checked em out. Holy hell! It blew me away! Old Crow Medicine Show - I had always heard of these guys, but never got into them because I never tried to listen to their music. After the lineup, I checked out an album of theirs, heard wagon wheel among others and was converted.
Other than that, everyone else I either am already into or don't care to get into.
It might sound weird, but I "discovered" The White Stripes because of Bonnaroo. I always thought Seven Nation Army was a cool song, but when they were getting known, I wasn't watching any television, or listening to the radio (and I still don't). I was more of a Strokes kid. Luckily for me, Bonnaroo added them and I checked out some live performances, and now I love them. Hotel Yorba's one of my favorite songs.

The White Stripes......never gave them a shot until they came to Nashville a couple weeks ago. They put on a great show and now I'm gonna check um out after North Mississippi Allstars instead of trying to get a good spot for WSP.
