good question as to why people are into this band. Its always good to hear why people are drawn into a bands music. for me its all about the talent of the guys involved especially Billy & Kang. I mean these guys will jump from some nasty bluegrass number and slam right into a funked out dance party, you just don't get that with a lot of the "jam" bands out there today. That said i'm not to crazy about the trance sound that things have shifted towards and i respect Billy's decision to leave and go back to the bluegrass sound that he loves so much. Grab a show by these guys back in 98' 99' just nasty, nasty stuff!! Also people tend to just take these guys so seriously, "oh the music is to fluffy", take it for what it is, feel good dance party shake ur fuckin ass music! thats my 2 cents. hope it helped

I went to see Cheese at Red Rocks in Colorado. I don't remember anything about the concert. Maybe that's the draw. I have to admit the music's kind of "easy listening" and "lame" but I won't miss them for the world. Does that help?

tripcity?? come on man i'm not one to put down someones opinion on a band but it sounds like you dont even have an opinion?? u say u don't remember it but than its "easy-listening"? tweekers stand to the back of the tent and give us more room up front to get DOWN!!

Yeach pretty much I don't because I don't remember seeing them. My post was pretty much a joke. It will be nice to see them for the first time at Bonnaroo even though I've already been to one of their concerts. I like the song that's on our iTunes download A LOT!

I LOVE CHEESE!!! Their jams are set up so that each song has a climax, the music is good and up-beat usually, dancing is awesome, when they bust out the violin or banjo they make it work really nice. I love string cheese. Also, yes, they are breaking up, but if people use that as their reason to see them they could always go to big summer classic (3 nights of cheese, probably within a month of their last date).
haha, I was at the '05 show too! haha that was an amazing show indeed!!! Holy shit, that back section was cool! It was like a moving screen looking at it and when you where back there you could see everything the band was doing up close and the crowd dancing. It was crazy!! SCI BONNAROO!!!
I kinda knew there would be someone on hear that was dancin with me back there.
