I am just wondering what the average group size is for people attending this year. I go solo myself just because I can't find anyone to go, but I have you guys to chill with, so its all good
My group will be 7-9 total this year. For '02 through '04, I always had groups of 6 or 7, with a core group of four (including me) that went every year. Then for '05, everybody bailed, and it was just me and my wife. I was so used to the group dynamic that we had that it made for a really different experience, and I really missed the big group. Although I'm ecstatic about the lineup for musical reasons alone, the biggest reason I'm happy about it is that its bringing my original group and some newbies back to Bonnaroo.

Right now we're at 3 cars definitely with a total of 6 people (including myself), we're trying to talk some other people into coming with us though. So, it might be a total of 8 or 10 people with 4 or 5 cars.
One of the other reasons why I wanted to do this poll is I read over in Listserve that only 35,000 have tickets for roo so far. I hardly doubt that. I mean you look at how many members the myspace bonnaroo page has..they have 13,000 friend. I say times that at least by 3(guessing the average of people per group) and you have 39,000 ppl. You have to account for the ppl who are not a member and so forth.
Heck, membership here is at a high this year. We have hit 500 people this year and its not even June yet. We had 500 total the first year and 300 last year. I am not sure if the event will sell out, but I wouldn't expect anything less than 60,000 people.

My hubby and I are leaving FL around 5 am Wednesday and are stopping at a campground on Nickajack Lake that day to be fresh and ready for Roo on Thursday. We are meeting up w/ 3 more friends that can't leave that early at the campsite Thursday am and are heading in around 11am Thursday. The campground is only 40 miles outside Manchester on I-24 if anyone else wants to start a day early!

Dude, you are lucky! But I'm gonna have to one-up you... Tomorrow afternoon I'm leaving for coachella. There's 14 of us that are renting a pimped out vacation house there for 3 nites with private pool, hot tub, up in the hills.... and I just found out there's only 1 other guy in the group, and he might not even go. and most of these chicks are in their early-mid 20s (I'm in my 30s) a 12-to-1 ratio in the hot tub will be just fine with me!!!!
But as of right now, I'm going solo to 'roo. But I'm working on that...

Sounds like you know how to do it up Kampy. Have fun in Indio. I like how they set up the line-up this year, it seems fairly conflict free.
Anyways, to answer the question, right now I have myself, my lady, and one firm committment with like three soft commitments. Although, I have an RV with space for six, so it should all work out.
This was the summer of the wedding for alot of my friends (there are three in varying places and all three guys that are getting married were some of my previous Roo partners, so this year was tough to get people to come). Damn weddings.
Right now it's just me and my roommate traveling early Thursday morning from Dayton, OH. It could turn into a four or five person ride with meetups when we get there.

I actually only know 4 of the people coming with, the rest are friends of friends. Heh. I'm meeting them before Bonnaroo though, but yeah.
3 others. the two of us fellas are meeting the other 2 (who we've not gotten to hang out with since new years) in atlanta and spending the night there, then driving up thursday morning. i know several other folks who are going, and i'll want to see them there, but i'll mainly just be part of the crew of four.

just me, all of my friends are cheap. i have a couple of distant friends that will be scattered around the festival that i will be meeting up with at some point.
last year my friend and i went and had alot of trouble setting up the tent, and now this year i gotta set up the s.o.b. by myself. I'm 17 years old and can't set up a tent
"Man and his deed are two distinct things...a good deed should call forth approbation a a wicked deed disapprobation, the doer of the deed, whether good or wicked, always deserves respect or pity as the case may be. 'Hate the sin and not the sinner' is a precept which, though easy enough to understand, is rarely practicsed (sic), and that is why the poison of hatred spreads in the world." -Ghandi
Right now there are four in our group - the fourth was just added this weekend when he purchased a ticket. We are all guys. Right now one car, but if a fifth and sixth decide to join us we will have two cars. This is the first Roo for all of us.
