No offense, but I think if you're looking for possible Roo leads, I would look somewhere other than Monday Night Football.... just my opinion though... Who knows, maybe you're on to something. Superfly is mighty subtle these days...
i did not mean this is a direct link to roo or SF. i'm not putting all my hopes into a football game, trust me. i just meant that way too many media outlets (rolling stone, billboard, news aritcals, interviews, hints from the band, not to mention a new Mothership cd release, new and extended version of Song Remains the Same dvd, and monday night football, just to name a few) are talking about Led Zeppelin for something not to be stiring up. i may be wrong but i truely feel that they will tour. maybe not at roo, but they will tour.
anybody remember 1994? how many hints (tons) were out there before they announced woodstock? if LZ makes a pepsi commercial (and god i hope not) you can count on a tour!
1995? Page and Plant do mtv unpluged, then release No Quarter cd. what next you ask? BLAMMO!! TOUR BABY!!
You're right, they probably are going on a world tour after their show in London. Sorry, after rereading my comment I realized it sounded overly-sarcastic (a lack of sleep does that to me...)
I can only hope that you're right on... have some karma

Oh... and as far as what song would I be heartbroken over if they didn't play?
I could go with Dazed and Confused, but then again if Jimmy didn't bring out a violin bow I'd be disappointed... I think my final answer would have to be Bron Yr Aur Stomp. It's on my lifetime goals list to see that song live.

XM satellite radio just started up XM Led (channel 59). Every time I think I have my 'must hear' song, something new starts playing and I go 'oh, yeah.... that too!' For the next 3 minutes, my 'must hear' song will be Immigrant Song .

no worries man. thanks for the karma! stock up on that sleep bro cause you won't be getting any for 4 days in june!
any song that i hear from robert plant, jimmy page, and john paul jones TOGETHER would be like angels kissing my eardrums. i have been waiting for this since i 1st heard LZ in the back of my sisters car when i was in 3rd grade. (yes i remember the song) they could fart into the microphones and i would cheer. nothing they do would dissapoint me.
Notably, the language used by the promoters is "inaccurate" not "false." Based on the very interesting semantics, I'd say we get Zeppelin, but not Zeppelin and Metallica.
When The Levee Breaks Black Dog The Crunge (yessss) Communication Breakdown
You know though, when I really think about it, they could just get up there and play on a plastic 5 gallon bucket and I would still love it. I don't even care. Just getting to see JPJ jam on Zeppelin songs made me happy last year...this would just make my entire LIFE!

Or Metallica and no Zeppelin... Just kidding... Although I really don't understand all of the Metallica hating on the board

This rumor shook me out of my bonnaroo coma, and i come to say, give me metallica! and led zeppelin of course. Two of the most rocking bands in history, up until load theres hardly a bad song in metallica's catalog. Also i still hold hope that they realize their new stuff sucks, and they go back to the old style, which it seems they are hinting at, saying the new album will be a mix of and justice for all and black album. Also, robert trujillo is by far their most talented bassist, and i'm interested to hear how his sound adds to the mix on the new album. So to sum it up, don't hate on metallica, just pretend load, reload, and especially st. anger don't exist! Yeah, this was a good enough first post. ;D

^I dont agree w/ Robert being the their best bassist. But hey, its all in style and opinion. I totally agree w/ the rest of the post though. I wouldnt mind them being there. Just give me everything before black album.

Definitely depends on what style you like, he is unquestionably the funkiest though. Black album is pretty good if you look at it alone, just not for a metallica album.

well i originally thought that black album was another breakthrough for metal/hard rock. Its just too bad they took it the opposite way everybody thought they were going to. Personally, I still cant decide my favorite Metallica album, "Kill Em' All", "Master Of Puppets", and "..and Justice for All" are epic. The biggest reunion that could happen in metal is James, Lars, and Dave Mustaine getting back together. Maybe even throw in a les claypool? haheha
