Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
i'm not 100% on the details, but if it is true that in the contracts superfly makes with the bands, they aren't allowed to play near ROO within a certain time frame.... Widespread Panic will not be there.
they are playing MTSU in Murfreesboro April 16, 60 days before ROO. Although Phil did play nashville the day after roo in 2006... so that clause may be purely rumor
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
I guess that you can move Tom Petty into the "Unlikely" category:
2008 TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS TOUR WITH VERY SPECIAL GUEST STEVE WINWOOD June 11- New England Dodge Music Center, Hartford, CT June 13- TD Banknorth Garden, Boston, MA June 17- Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
I wouldn't say that. he just put Bonnaroo on his favorite friends on my space and he is open for Thursday, Saturday and Sunday night. I seriously doubt he would be on Saturday night after just doing 06 but he would be great as a Sunday night headliner.

R.E.M., Modest Mouse, and the National are looking less likely (although I would happily take a fly-in set at any point).

Peter Bjorn and John look unlikely...posted on their website: 2008-01-26 LAST GIG.... Today is a special day, we're doing our last gig on the "Writers Block Tour". We almost cant believe it. Well, ok, it´s for real. But... We have been touring on and off for alomst 18 month and the last stop is Mexico City. Tonite.. It feels sad and joyful at the same time, almost like when you have your last day in school before the summer holiday. But without the sad grades in gymnastics. Thank you all for your fantastic support and for coming. Two years ago, we didn´t think this could happen. So it´s kind of a strange feeling to stop. But we will be back, we're starting working on the new album the day after tomorrow and if everything goes well we will be back in the tourbus in 2009.
Looks like Sunset Rubdown will be in Europe at the beginning of June which significantly lessens the chance of Wolf Parade or Frog Eyes being at Bonnaroo either...
I'll hold off until I get a mid June date.

Don't know if you want to add this to the unlikely list or not, but this Rolling Stone interview with Neil Young sounds like he may be a no-go for Bonnaroo...
Very end of the article - he says "Well, I just did thirty-one dates in the States, and I'm going over to do another twenty or so in Europe now. And I don't have any plans after that."

You can go ahead and add Dr. John and the Neville Brothers to this list. They're touring together and booked in Washington state and Oregon for the Friday and Sunday of Bonnaroo, respectively. I was really hoping the Night Tripper would be back.

I believe I read somewhere back several months ago that Explosions in the Sky had one date planned in June and then they were done for a while. I immediately thought Bonnaroo. I think the article appeared on Pitchfork.

Aww man a late-night EITS set would be killer........

Yeah, and clouds might taste like Explosions in the Sky...
Foo Fighters have added tour dates in Europe during Bonnaroo, so it looks like they won't be there:
