So the O2 show is underway, the Zep boards are tough to navigate due to high traffic, but early reports are sounding good. Does anyone know what the other main board is for Zep, besides their official one?
(BTW, I thought this had enough roo relevance to be posted, especially if the show is goes well.)
Actually the show for Zeppelin is over. Here is the setlist I found online at Jambase.
Good Times, Bad Times Ramble On Black Dog In My Time of Dying For Your Life" (first time live) Trampled Underfoot Nobody's Fault But Mine No Quarter Since I've Been Lovin' You Dazed and Confused Stairway To Heaven The Song Remains the Same

"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
So what was Led Zeppelin like? A momentous event…and some of it was truly awe inspiring – 'Kashmir' was utterly incredible.
The sound was a bit quiet, which prevented the band from unleashing their full force on the likes of 'Dazed And Confused'. But it's really a minor quibble.
This writer was happy at the inclusion of the likes of 'Trampled Under Foot' and 'Misty Mountain Hop', less heralded tunes which have stood the test of time.
The crowd, meanwhile, was lapping it up on the whole – they paid a lot of money and waited a long time for this, and they seemed to go home happy. But such was the weight of expectation, it was always going to be difficult to satisfy everyone.
As for the band, well, they seemed to be united – Plant paid tribute to each one of them individually and there didn't seem to be any tension. A tour next year?
And, of course, the evening was all about Ahmet Ertegun, Atlantic Records founder, who died earlier this year. Plant mentioned him frequently, and one couldn't help thinking that the fact the Zep were even here was tribute enough. NME.COM by Alan Woodhouse

i heard about some celebrities who were there...paris hilton? are you kidding me? it doesn't seem right that someone like that is able to attend...no matter how much money she has...i'm not saying i deserve to be there...but okay, yeah, i deserve to be there instead of her...when did she get good taste in music?

I am sorry, all Zep haters can kiss it. This is a bonnaroo headliner if I ever saw one. They look like they are having way to much fun to only have a one off. This is not Live Aid Pink Floyd.

I expected alot less from Robert Plant, but he proved me and alot of other people totally wrong. I mean, I thought he'd sound decent, but he actually sounded good. Everyone keep their fingers crossed for LZ at Bonnaroo, because I can't imagine how good I'll feel when they hit the stage at the Farm.
The show was 90 mins. they need to play longer to headline, but as a thought bonnaroo owns the farm so why don't they have a Zeppelin fest when they do go on tour. It won't fuck up bonnaroo and it would be big enough for Zeppelin to make lot of money.

Led Zeppelin is gonna fuck up Bonnaroo? How? Because they'll draw a huge crowd? The Police and Radiohead both did that too.
They are a Classic Rock Band, a very common type of band to play Bonnaroo (Tom Petty, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Dead, The Allman Brothers Band, Steve Winwood, etc.). Not only do they fit the profile, they just happen to be the Greatest Band Ever.
I really would like to hear exactly why you think Zeppelin is going to fuck up Bonnaroo.

^^^Unbunch your panties. I believe branham was merely pointing out an alternative way for Superfly to nab Zeppelin that would appease other people who worry that they are too huge and too expensive for Bonnaroo. He was also saying that a Zeppelin fest would not need to affect Bonnaroo, but could be a different thing entirely, just located in the same place. No need to take offense. Now, kiss and make up. There, that's a good lad.

My mother used to joke with me that Robert Plant was my real father... So when my 4-year-old daughter walked in on me watching this clip this morning, I told her it was a video of her grandfather singing....

If they played Roo thats all you'll get (90) min .. Just like the Police... The reason for that is because they can get upwards of $250 per ticket at their own shows . so they playRoo for a set fee and then they give a 90 min preformance
