so i realized that both of these guys will start touring January through April doing their latest 45 set The Hard Sell. with both of them performing in past bonnaroos, does anyone think they could be there next year to perform their new set?

If the Bonnagods do indeed love us, they will!
edit: Geez, why to tickets have to be so expensive? At the Sonar here in Baltimore they're $35. And since it's Ticketmaster, that means $45...

I finally owned up to the fact that I HAD to see this show, so the wife and I scraped some money together. Now we'll be grooving our asses off to The Hard Sell!
Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature.
They're playing a venue in Austin called La Zona Rosa which is, imo, the single most hideous venue I've ever been to. The stage is in the corner of the room with a projection screen next to it that's as big or possibly larger than the stage. The rest of the venue is pretty much a combination of advertisements (mostly cigarette) and bars. And there's a big smoking lounge that's half the size of the dance floor where Camel's set up a bunch of ciggy sponsored what nots. And every time I've been there as a paying ticket buyer, half the audience is filled with people there on cigarette sponsored promotional tickets who are pretty much there to get drunk and talk loudly behind me.
That is to say, I really hope they play Bonnaroo cause otherwise I won't see them.
i just read about Double Dee and Steinski (if you don't know them they're are basically the forefathers of the whole cut and paste genre) opening for shadow and cut in NYC. i think if shadow and cut chemist do perform at bonnaroo they should bring those guys to. it would be pretty interesting to see what they would do with today's technology.
i know steinski has been using laptops nowadays...not really sure what double dee has been up to.

After some technical issues that delayed the show 10 min, they really rocked and were right on.
It started out really great! So strong with the best intro...they were really professional.
Not quite sure what happened later on in the show tho. They seemed to lose the crowd with the pacing and timing of the music and then abruptly finished! Shadow made some announcement like....
uh, that was the finale folks! That's all we've got!
We thought he was kidding! but he wasn't! The show was only 1hr25 long.
Don't get me wrong...it was still a great show and it will improve by the time you all get to see it. I think Austin was the first of the tour.
I would have loved it if they each did a miniset and then also did the whole Hard Sell set.
