Buckwheat Zydeco - it would be about time Plant & Krauss - of course Burning Spear - a hit in '04, could definitely return Ellis Marsalis - ooh, another jazz legend Keyshia Cole - sure, she's got talent O.A.R. - if we have to, again... Cowboy Mouth - yeah, possibly Al Green - Oh hell yes Del McCoury - again? why not? Tower of Power - it's about time Bonnaroo got some funk legends Stevie Wonder - enough said Richard Thompson - wishful thinking, missed him last year and would love to see him Trombone Shorty & Orleans Ave. - sounds about right Papa Grows Funk - would fit Bonerama - would also fit The Bad Plus - a personal fave, so yes please! Santana - I suppose The Raconteurs - Jack's always welcome Keb' Mo' - it's only a matter of time, I think
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
I saw Stevie on this last tour that he did and it was amazing. He is such an icon and one of the greatest talents ever. I would absolutely love it if he played Roo. I think What Stage for sure but maybe not as a headliner. However if they did it I wouldn't complain. Out of curiosity do any of you think that Jimmy Buffett would play Roo? I know a lot of people think he is cheesy, and in all honesty he is but his shows area good time. Just a thought.

They tend book a few country acts every year. They fest last so long, and there are so many different acts, they are really trying to please a large group of people. I think they do a fairly decent job as well.

not trying to justify it by any means, but he is from Louisiana, maybe making it a little easier for them to book him. Jazz Fest loves home town and home state people to play.
I'm wondering if Superfly is going to do some late shows for this year's Jazzfest. If so, we're probably looking at least another week or two of waiting to hear about Bonnaroo.
Well, last year, Superfly kept announcing about late night shows at Jazzfest around the time they were supposed to be announcing the Bonnaroo lineup. Each week it happened, you pretty much knew the Bonnaroo lineup wasn't going to come out because they wouldn't want to overshadow their own press release.

I was sitting in Margaritaville this weekend thinking to myself why hasn't Buffet ever played Bonnaroo? I remember playing in my pen was I was like 2 and my dad was jamming to Buffet. It would be a good show I think.
