I am not entirely convinced MMJ will be at roo this year. Everyone is assuming they will be. I want proof!!! I refuse to get my hopes up otherwise! Can anyone provide any solid evidence that they will be at roo?? I'd love to see it!
The only proof we had was when they were on pollstar for a day or so..that was it. We have seen Willie and Pat Green on there as well and then taken off (green is back on) Take it what it is worth. They are doing a tour, so there will be chances to see them if they don't play roo.

It just makes too much sense. For me it isn't a question of will they be there, but in what capacity? Where do you go from late night 2006?
I think, headlining aside, a which stage late night is their next step. I didn't catch much of the tent show, but from what I've heard its what they deserve. I think they have totally made themselves as a Trey or Flips level at roo.
^^They have most certainly proven themselves, more-so than any other band that has been at Roo multiple times. They have shown year in and year out that they are a great act to see, with an ever growing fanbase. I think it's simply a matter of time before we see MMJ as one of the first 3 bands on the bill, ultimately leading to a headlining slot. That is a few years off though.
Hmmm. Their new record drops on June 10 and they are playing Radio City on the 20th, I believe. Seems like 'Roo would be a logical stop. I saw them at ACL and will hopefully see them again at SXSW in March. Would LOVE to have them in Manchester!

I'm pretty sure they'll be there... Or atleast Jim James will be I'd say. I would love to see him come out for the superjam!
edit: I should clarify... by saying "I'm pretty sure" I actually mean "I want this really really really really bad so I'm just telling myself it's true"
Superfly is head over heels for My Morning Jacket. They are the only band to have played 4 consecutive years at Bonnaroo. No other band has done that. After their year off and with them on tour, I'd say it's a lock that they'll be back.... maybe (hopefully) for another 4 year run.
the rest of the lineup could be four days of the backstreet boys doing polka covers as long as MMJ plays a nice juicy latenight set or at any time, ill be there

I wouldn't go for them in a daytime slot, but if they get latenight, then it truly could be BSB the rest of the time and I would be content. That 2006 late night was one of the greatest things I have ever seen. The vibe in that tent was crazy. The band was going balls out and having a blast, and so were we!

06 latenight was great. I've got a Paste Magzine DVD with MMJ playing One Big Holiday in the afternoon and I think they work anytime of the day. And if BSB is going to be there four days, I'm pretty sure I won't be , no matter what they're playing. I'll probably do Wakarusa instead.

Robert Randolph played every year except for last. .
I would love love love love love love love love love MMJ.
This man came up to me just the other day, asked me I'd been born again. I told him, "I didn't think I had." That I had been rejected. But I think, Hell's got all the good bands anyway. And Bonnaroo.

And Warren Haynes played every year except 2006. However, neither Robert Randolph, nor Warren Haynes, by themselves, are "bands." And if you'll notice I said MMJ was the only band to play 4 consecutive years.
Robert Randolph played with The Word, not the Family Band, at the 4th Bonnaroo (2005). And Warren played by himself in 03. MMJ, as a band, owns the longest streak.
