I'm still trying to figure out which stage will be big enough to fit his ego.
it's true! he demands the main stage, i don't see how it can go any other way, unless which stage gets beefed up with some screens or something... but who does he pre-headline for? PJ?

I just don't get it......... I don't get him and I don't get why he is going to be at Bonnaroo......... It's definitely one person on the list I have no desire to see.
I know that Kanye and Lupe have a "supergroup" in the works. I think we're going to be seeing it in the DJ Shadow/Galactic spot from last year.
Do you mean CRS? Its Kanye, Lupe, and Pharrell, I think. They put out a song called Us Placers last summer that sampled The Eraser. It was pretty awesome.
i wish i had some cheese to give out to go with all this... nevermind.
kanye is the biggest hip-hop act out there and he's not the same cut-o-cloth as the rest of the played-out industry. he's going to put on a great show and i hope its late night (no, not because i want there to be less conflict elsewhere.)
That said, I'll be at his show definitely. I was at his Lolla show in 2006 and it was one of the best shows of the festival, with guest spots from Twista and Lupe.
West would Be a total waste of a good late night spot considering if he did late night it would most likely be on which stage , and considering that past late night headliners were the likes of primus, flips, and trey, west would not live up to my expectations in that spot and stage! I am utterly disgusted that he is on the line up, can u say weak? With the amount of money they spent on him the could have got three or four sweet jambands.

Lupe > Kweli > Kanye latenight would be a dream come true for me.
God, I hope not. Lupe is descent, but his shows aren't spectacular. Kwali is sick, though. Hopefully he'll be in front of Kanye, assuming this does happen. But it probably won't. Kanye's ego is too big fit on the stage with other people. The only place it would fit is the What Stage.
One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain. So hit me with music. Hit me with music, now, yeah. Hit me with music. Brutalize me with music.

Personally I dont listen to much rap but besides J5 and the Roots this is the best Hip-hop that Roo has had. All this ego stuff, have you all never met a rock star who doesn't have a little bit of an ego......He's the fly Malcolm X, buy any jeans neccessary.... <----- Love that line it cracks me up. I like how this guy started a thread probably for Kanye fans but haters sippin their hatorade decided to come in and bash someones good time. Kanye is going to be a killer show.

And someone said he couldn't share the stage for his ego, very bad argument first off and this is why. EVERY rapper almost has 10 ppl on stage with him being hype men, I'm personally very glad to see a rapper go on by himself and come one, lets not be so cynical ppl, I don't think this ego that is apparently the size of Texas if I listened to you all, will prevent Talib or Lupe from being on the same stage. These are just really weak arguments for him not being there. If you don't like his music I respect that, but quit with the ego talk.

Hell yea, Kanye love, like it. It will be my buddies first Roo and he saw Kanye in Knoxville and said he had a really great time and last night when we saw it I was admittedly surprised by Kanye (but happy) but my friend was like "HELL YEA." He was really wanting The Cure bad so I was happy for him. And Bigchris, yes, we will have a blast. Off to class, peace.
i always thought kanye was talented and every album he put out was good if not better then the last.. But im sure he will deff be a conflict with a band i actually really want to see.. but i will deff stop by to see what his stage looks like.. glo in the dark tour sounds pretty cool.. also this song by kanye with little brother is funny as hell but also really good check it out

People seem to have a misconception about Kanye West.
Yes, his ego is bigger than his head, and yes, he has made a complete ass out of himself on several occasions. But, honestly? Most musicians, ESPECIALLY rappers, have giant egos and most make asses out of themselves eventually. So it goes. Who cares, as long as they make good music?
Thing is, Kanye makes some amazing music. He's one of the most celebrated rappers of our time. He has been consistently amazing and suprising.
If you've actually given him a chance and don't like him, fair enough. If you've only heard the hits or if you're basing your opinion off how big his ego is, just go away because your opinion is of no consequence whatsoever.
