I somehow doubt Sigur Ros will be on a stage late night. I think they'll get a tent, and it'll probably be Saturday night up against Kanye West (on the Which stage).

Yeah I think it would be a tent as well if they play late night.

I don't want to pollute this thread too much with needless speculating, but I can't possibly imagine Sigur Rós in a tent, day or night. They're just too friggin' big, too popular. Numerous threads and polls around here attest to that. I think they'll either be second to last or last on Which Stage, or, God willing, late night on Which Stage.
wow if that's true, it looks like they're gonna turn thursday night in to a full blown affair ( and undoubtedly first time having a Thursday Which Stage band, I think)

don't be so sure. they put friggin John Paul Jones/Ben Harper/Questlove in the smallest tent late night. The year before that they had Trey Anastasio/Mike Gordon/The Duo in a Tent.
They've had some very popular acts (main stage acts in the past) in Tents at night. Size of popularity doiesn't necessarily dictate TENT or STAGE when it comes to late night.
I found something interesting. On Facebook, where it lists bands and shows they will be playing, Pearl Jam is listed for Thursday, June 12 at Bonnaroo. I am not trying to pass this off as correct, but it could feed the Zeppelin rumor some more if this is correct. I personally highly doubt it, but just a thought.
This has been addressed before.^^^Often, bands just list the first day of the fest as their date until the schedule is announced. Believe me, neither Pearl Jam nor Kanye will be playing on Thursday.
Also, here's an interesting tidbit. I saw Yonder Mountain String Band in Ft. Lauderdale tonight. I'm about 75% sure they were joking, but they said they're playing right before Metallica on the main stage at Roo. Once again, unlikely, but that would be pretty bizarre and hilarious.
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.

oops didn't notice someone already mentioned it. anyways, might catch their st. louis show to the day after if its not sold out and i make it home on time and am not too tired... but probably won't happen.
I'm pretty sure that Aimee Mann won't be on Thursday as well. She's more popular than a Thursday band. Same thing with Steel Train.
I believe in 2006 Steel Train was either on Friday or Saturday afternoon, right before Grace Potter, Rusted Root and Blues Traveler in That Tent. So I doubt they would recess to Thursday night.
I sure am happy about State Radio in the Thursday night spot!!!! Gotta get me up close! I hope Kanye is Thursday night, although doubtful, so it will open up more space in the SR tent.

I dont remember 100%, but arent there generally about 4 late night shows each night, Friday and Saturday night, giving us 8 total? If so, Im thinking these 8 (not sure what days yet, though) Superjam Sigur Ros My Morning Jacket !!! (I can see them either late night or during the heat, more likely late night though, its more their style) Ladytron Ghostland Observatory (They seem to be like !!!, I can see them during the day too) Dark Star Orchestra Minus The Bear (they have that late-night sound, though I dont know if they are great enough of a live band to make a great late night show)
I somehow doubt Sigur Ros will be on a stage late night. I think they'll get a tent, and it'll probably be Saturday night up against Kanye West (on the Which stage).
There's no way they'll put them in a tent. They're way too big for that. They will be late night Which Stage. I would be willing to bet all my money on this.
As for other latenights, Ghostland Observatory mentioned some super laser light show, so they will most likely get a latenight slot. And Gogol Bordello will probably play late night this year. And Ladytron will most likely be latenight as well. I just can't see them playing while it's light out.

Ehh about Gogol, I'm unsure as to whether they would play a late nigh show, although it would be awesome. It seems that the late nights are either dance/hip hop groups or the party starting jam bands. Gogol just doesnt seem to fit too well, though I would love to see them again.
But Umphrey's could do a late night show again, though they dont have Bisco to play with, so its likely that theyll play during the afternoon again like they did in 05.
And I'm hoping Battles get a late night Thursday set, given that they are playing Thursday, because theyd be insane late night. Theyll be this year's Thursday night "blow everyone away" band, along with Vampire Weekend. Just like Mute Math last year.
Still holding out hope for Explosions In The Sky or Mars Volta though, either of those would make one hell of a late night set

omg that would be amazing. I mean AMAZING. Those metal heads wouldn't know what to do.
