MMJ late night pleeeease. Some people have talked about them opening for a headliner, that would just devastate me. I want some late night MMJ. So you guys are pretty much banking on this happening?
sadly, I would have to assume MMJ will be a day 90 minute slot, which is tragic. i think they've put in their time in the tents and are looking for a bigger stage.
oh well. i just HOPE HOPE HOPE sigur ros takes a late night slot.

They could always play the Flaming Lips' spot from last year. They are both the seventh band listed in their respective year's lineup. Keep your hopes up.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

I just saw langerados schedule and Thursday looks pretty beefed up. I think that adds to the speculation that Bonnaroos Thursday will be looking a little fuller. They have three full days of late night acts. This makes me excited for Bonnaroo
^^^Yeah, Langerado's Thursday is actually pretty stacked, what with Dead Confederate, Les, DSO, P-Groove and the New Deal. They even have kind of a mini-late night.
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.

No one has said much about O.A.R. What stage/time of day do you think they will do?
OAR was in a tent in the middle of the day last time they played, I'm sure they will retain a similar spot. Around 3 or 4 in 'That Tent' sounds likely.

I am really starting to feel like there's a real possibility of Thursday being something closer to a full day this year, what with Langerado and the current announcements of Kanye, Aimee Mann, and the Truckers on Thursday. Those could be off, or we could finally get a year where Thursday has an expanded lineup. Even if they ran the festival from 5:00 on, it would be a step in the right direction.

oh i love this idea. totally hadn't thought of that!

i hope that is the slot that they play. and i hope mars volta isn't playing at the same time.
I'm going to go ahead and predict the latenight shows:
Friday
Which Stage: Phil and Friends Tents: RR's Revival - MMJ - Lupe Fiasco/Talib Kweli
Saturday: Which Stage: Kanye Tents: Ghostland/Vampire Weekend - Superjam - (an announced DJ combination)
Yep, sounds pretty close to me.
I would say that is pretty close. Just change out Robert Randolph to Sunday ( I am thinking a Sunday gospel type of thing) and add in Umphrey's to Friday night.

Word from the Randolph camp is that the show is going to be "epic" . . . which I why I figured it was more likely to be a latenight jam session. RR hasn't done the late night thing in like 4 years. You're right tho, Ump is likely to be at night as well. Perhaps Ghostland/Vampire Weekend on Thursday night?

ghostland is already confirmed for friday though...according to their site.
Yea, but every year this method is not entirely accurate. In some cases its just an arrival date. In other cases, artists playing Thursday night (technically 12 or 1 am Friday) will list Friday as the day they are playing. So, unless they also have shows on Thursday and Saturday elsewhere, I think they could really be on any day.

I disagree.
I think it's highly unlikely Vampire Weekend will play late night, in fact, I believe they are already confirmed for Thursday. Also, Sigur Ros will without question play a late night.
It's likely to look like this.
Friday
Which Stage -- MMJ (could see this being Phil and Friends)
This Tent - Lupe Fiasco/Talib Kweli That Tent - Robert Randolph's Revival Other Tent - Ghostland Observatory
Saturday
Which Stage - Kanye West
This Tent - Sigur Ros That Tent - Levon Helm and his Midnight Ramble The Other Tent - LCD Soundsystem (other late night dance act)
Anyone who thinks Kanye is not playing the main stage, especially after last night's Grammy awards, is still in a fugue from 'roo 07.
I'd put money on him being on the Which Stage on Friday or Saturday Night. Unless of course they start doing late night shows on the What stage, who knows. Either way last night proved he's gonna put on one killer show.

Where/when do y'all think DSO will play. For me it seems more than likely that DSO and Phil & Friend's will have sets that are separated by at least 48 hours. One or other could rip it up for a late night crowd. Personally, the DeadHead in me hopes Phil & Friend's close on Sunday and DSO gets a late night Friday slot.
