I like Mountain Tracks Vol 2. That is what got me started.
Me too. Volume 1 is great, but I always liked 2 better. I don't have any of their studio stuff. What's the point, really? I do have a bunch of live shows, and I will get some uploaded for y'all soon.
Was anybody at the Nashville show last year? That was ridiculous. Some dude threw a water bottle on the stage and they refused to keep playing until he left, so the crowd like banded together and forced the guy out. Then they proceeded to just completely tear the place apart for another hour and a half, brought out Futureman and did a Come Together cover and a few other songs with him...great, great show. Download it on archive if you have a chance, it's definitely worth a listen.
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.
It's about damn time they make it back to the farm!! I've never seen anything less than a great show out of them the multiple times I've seen them. Agreed about Mountain Tracks 2 being better than 1, but you really can't go wrong in the Live Music Archive on archive.org either if you want to hear some great YMSB.
Very excited. Seen em thrice and they have failed to disappoint me yet. Anybody lookin to get into their music who already isnt should check Mtn Tracks Vol. 1 and Mtn Tracks Vol. 3 and if you have access to shows, look up their 07 Jam in the Dam recordings. Fantastic, plus they jam with Keller and dudes from DSO.
i have seen them at least 10 times (possibly more because they usually come through my area 1-2 times per year). They always put on a great show even if you don't really like bluegrass, I bet you will like them!
i love blue grass, haven really gotten into yonder yet but i was wondering, has anyone ever heard of a band called shanti groove? i saw them open for perpetual groove in birmingham a few years ago and they were insane. i havent been able to find anything from them anywhere, and in terms of bluegrass it was unbelievable. i still talk about it to this day. help me out.

what time slot and day do you guys think they will play? I hope they get what stage sunday first act to play and play for 2 hours would be a great way to start off sunday.
In '04 they were on Which stage early afternoon, like 2ish. I can't remeber what day. damn it was hot, but I couldn't stop dancing. I'm surprised I didn't get heat stroke. What stage Sunday sounds pretty good to me.
Check out the review and pictures from Yonder's recent show in Houston at www.breakfastontour.com/drupal/?q=node/234. While you are there feel free to browse the rest of the site!
Archive.org is a legal ( I think) website that has live shows from many different bands, including a huge collection of Grateful Dead shows. www.archive.org/details/ymsb2007-12-31.audmatrix.flac16 Here's a Yonder show with Mother's Only Son in It.
