MMJ has played every year save 2. Any ROOer worth their salt has had their eyes opened to the unbridaled power which is My Morning Jacket. There were several threads on here last year with people complaining they were playing all the fests EXCEPT Roo. For this reason alone, I, and many inforoosters, expect a late night which stage appearance. The love is surely widespread here, this is one of the bands that I think we all can agree can and should be repeated every year from here on out.
I, personally think they will headline Roo before this decade is out. Just my opinion on them...

yah i just heard the in makes no difference cover from MMJ off "endless highway" which is a bunch of the band songs. i know its the band and all but, jim james sang it much better than i have ever heard rick danko sing it.
If the organizers are smart, they'll give MMJ the pre-headliner slot on Sunday before Jack Johnson. That way, a lot of the haters can leave on a good note.

Hmmmm, I've seen plenty of MMJ love on the boards. Hardly anyone's Top Ten Must See list is missing MMJ and most are calling it their number one most anticipated show of 2008. I think they are a great band and I dig the Okonokos DVD, but I'll have to see who they are lined up against before I make my decision.
This man came up to me just the other day, asked me I'd been born again. I told him, "I didn't think I had." That I had been rejected. But I think, Hell's got all the good bands anyway. And Bonnaroo.
All the MMJ love is in my pants and if Eddie Vedder comes out and does "A Quick One While He's Away" with the boys, the love will be all over the place.
It's not just any song they covered. It's the freakin' Who's "A Quick One". One of the best pieces of music ever created. MMJ covered this at 'Roo in '06 and I will flip the hell out if Vedder comes out and does this with them at the farm this year. That video of them playing this song is incredible and the only other thing that would make me appreciate Vedder doing a song with MMJ is if it's a Neil Young tune. Other than that, this is one of the best guest appearances possible and we all might see it relived this June.
