Because they SOLD OUT! Im sorry that most of you refuse to believe that.
Well, I mean, you would have to have known AC/Superfly's intentions from the beginning to know if they sold out. Selling out is doing something for money which you previously never would have done. Unless you're one of the original promoters, you can't really know whether or not they're actually selling out. Who's to say they didn't always dream of having a huge music festival with the biggest acts playing?

Bonnaroo is US equivalent of the UK's Glastonbury (with better music I think). So yeah I could see them having that as their goal when they started Bonnaroo.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
i keep going simply because its a diff artist i dont think anyone ever expects a show to be bad. and with repeat acts even tho i have seen "artist" and it wasnt good if i get a free ticket or i just really like them i will check it out again cause the bad show might have been a fluke. and with hip hop in my experience it usually isnt a fluke
Well, I appreciate the elaboration! I don't want you to think I'm just being a fuc*ker -- I'm just sick of folks making these blanket statements without any sort of explanation. You've done it, even if I'm still a little confused.

I don't understand this selling out term either I guess.
Bonnaroo is a huge deal in the music industry. They want to provide, great, DIVERSE music to many people who travel near and far. I really do think they do it for the music, but to some people Bonnaroo is their job.. their needs of making money to provide for themselves and their family.
And to create a huge, structured music fest like roo has become, they need the help of companies like AT&T, Garnier Fructis, and all those other sponsers who have money out the ying yang.
It's a win-win situation.. some people throw the term "sell out" so loosely now... I think bonnaroo is still in it for the diversity of music and art, but that's just my two cents
The funniest thing is, looking at the original post, he makes it sound like he's not even going to Bonnaroo. So, like...why complain about how much it's going to suck if you're not gonna be there? And for the people that are going and complaining so much, why pay that much money if you're not going to be satisfied? No tiene sentido!
Because they SOLD OUT! Im sorry that most of you refuse to believe that.
Yeah, we refuse to believe it.
If we say that, will you just cool your jiggidy jets and leave things be?

Hey, how about the Felice Brothers!!?? I just checked em out this morning, and now I have another possible can't-miss (until the schedule is released).
Bonnaroo is the single most profitable live music event in the world...it makes more money than ANYTHING else...soooooo....if what it does, better than anything else in the world, is make money....it is impossible for them to sell out by trying to make money....the only way they could actually sell out, would be to make it free...which I promise they won't.
Think before you use words...
EDIT: I love when I write something and by the time I post it, it's like 15 post past the conversation.... d'oh.
