hey mama has always been one of my favorite songs by kanye. given the circumstances, i feel like seeing him perform it live, much like on the grammys could be special

SMH people are coming in the thread to say they don't like him or know his songs. Here's my dream Kanye set, it runs about an hour and a half I reckon.
Lupe Fiasco
Talib Kweli Encore: Get 'em High, Kanye comes on
Homecoming (ft. Chris Martin) Everything I Am Champion Good Life Flashing Lights (if only for the stage show) The Glory Addiction Through the Wire Spaceship Two Words Big Brother Pro Nails (featuring Kid Sister)
Kid sister does a couple more songs, A-trek demos
Diamonds from Sierra Leone the new workout plan Heard 'em Say Jesus Walks Brand New Gold Digger Roses Hey Mama
ENCORE: Touch the Sky (ft. Lupe) CRS - Us Placers Stronger Good Night (Ft. Mos Def)
SMH people are coming in the thread to say they don't like him or know his songs. Here's my dream Kanye set, it runs about an hour and a half I reckon.
Talib Kweli Encore: Get 'em High, Kanye comes on
I meant to list Get Em High as Talib and Kanye together but I just didn't care enough to make the edit.

Graduation in its entirety.
yep i've seen him play everything else
Agreed. I've seen him twice. I love Kanye, but just thought Graduation was ok. The rhymes are too surface, too shallow for my tastes, as far as Kanye goes. The beats and electronic feel are great though, I'll agree to that. I'm hoping to hear:
All Falls Down We Don't Care Get 'Em High Last Call Touch the Sky Addiction Celebration Diamonds from Sierra Leone Homecoming And his part from "This Way" by Dilated Peoples. "I'm pulling girls off the bench like a 6th man."
He only has 3 proper albums and a live one. I enjoy all of them and can't really pick a favorite. College Dropout is definitely the one I have listened to the most. If you want to see what he sounds like live check out the Late Orchestration CD. It has an Orchestra, as well as A-Trak, backing him. It has guess spots from Lupe, John Legend, and a few others.
A rapper with a live album. I have never heard of that. If I was going to see him I would probably want have to go with some sort of cover. Maybe "Mr. Wendel" by Arrested Developement.
Close your eyes. Picture a convict. What's he wearing? Nothing special, baseball cap on backwards, baggy pants... he says something ordinary like... 'yo, thats shizzle.' Okay. Now slowly open your eyes again. Who are you picturing? A black man? Wrong. That was a white woman. Surprised? Well, shame on you.
Now you just told me that friendship is all I'm forced to repair the breech in my wall Illusions and dreams, as usual, it seems Sabra girl, they've been my downfall

Above all I'm looking forward to get 'em high...though it would be no doubt the highlight of his set and a high point of the weekend if common happened to make a surprise appearance...
Oh and I wanna hear "we don't care" too...mainly because of the "if we wasn't 'sposed to make it past 25" part. Lame, I know...
"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."

I'll be honest I am not looking forward to Kanye at all. I'm not going to get on here and say, Kanye shouldn't be at roo and his music doesn't fit. I disagree with this view entirely. I do like some rap and am looking forward to Talib Kweli. I enjoy the fact that a wide range of music has been booked for bonnaroo this year, I may check out Metallica and if not I am positive I can find something else. What I don't like about Kanye is that bonnaroo is such a free loving community it is all about good vibes and the type of person Kanye has proven to be is why I don't believe he should be at Bonnaroo. He is constantly complaining, he is arrogant and this I believe to not be healthy for the festival, not his music. In 2009 Bonnaroo can book, whatever marginally talented pop stars they want just as long as they are not divas like Kanye who may prove to be detremental to the great vibe at Bonnaroo, that I fear Kanye may turn out to be.
i agree 100% im not excited that he will be there at all. he should not be at roo.

Yea, good point. I bet Kanye will be the only arrogant person at the farm this year. And that arrogance will have such a large adverse effect on the festival, right?
This man came up to me just the other day, asked me I'd been born again. I told him, "I didn't think I had." That I had been rejected. But I think, Hell's got all the good bands anyway. And Bonnaroo.
I doubt Kanye will perform The New Workout Plan. It has a lyric "tuck your tummy tight" and his mom died from complications during a tummy tuck. Maybe I'm over-analyzing, though.

i actually plan on seeing all the hip hop artists this year.
kanye is very talented, i may not agree with his views once so ever but i cant deny that he has talent. lupe is on of my favorite artists and 'the cool' is an amazing album. talib is also pure genious. i think we will see some of their friends added to the list as well, i could see pharell, mos def and possibly even common added as they have all worked together in some form in the past.
if mos def comes and there is a black star set it will be the highlight of my weekend.

What he said, but I think Pharell might be out of the picture unfortunately, but if he were there, I would LOVE to see the Kanye/Lupe/Pharell hip hop Superjam. That side project they are working on is going to be insane. Karma!
