Do you think its possible? They have a new album coming out this spring. Or are they too large for what Bonnaroo will announce in the addidtions?
It's possible and they're not too large. I'm against it though, since at this point, I don't need any more conflicts. I only want to see bands that suck added, to thin out the crowds.

i would have LOVED weezer ... if this was 1996 and they never made half of the albums they have made. Unfortunately once Pinkerton got trashed by most people Rivers changed a lot in how he wrote songs. The band also lost Matt Sharp, a founding member, miss that too.

You hit the nail on the head there...I used to be a huge weezer fan, but matt sharp was a huge part of the band's personality, and they haven't been the same since he left. I saw them once with him and three times after that with different bass players (that mikey guy lasted just long enough to get his face on the green album and do like one tour...) it was always mildly disappointing at best...neither of the replacements have ever succeeded in contributing to song writing or stage presence like matt sharp...they really sort of lost their trademark in his absence. Pinkerton is still a classic and one of my all time favorites though.
"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."

This would be amazing. It's most definitely possible, but like another poster already mentioned, there are way too many good bands already scheduled to appear. It cuts like a knife when I have to choose sides.
ahhh...I love the weez. I have so many good memories attached to that band. I would be so, so happy if they played. I'm just hoping they come to Nashville when they tour in support of album six.

saw the Rentals in DC in 06 and in was a nice little show, they broke out "I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams" for any of you Weezer fans out there who know it, its a great old unreleased weezer track
Close your eyes. Picture a convict. What's he wearing? Nothing special, baseball cap on backwards, baggy pants... he says something ordinary like... 'yo, thats shizzle.' Okay. Now slowly open your eyes again. Who are you picturing? A black man? Wrong. That was a white woman. Surprised? Well, shame on you.

Oh man, that is one of my favorite B-sides ever. Such a great breakup song! That and 'Susanne' are probably my 2 faves.
I think I might be the only Weezer fan on the planet who likes Green, Maladroit and Make Believe. I for one can't wait to hear their 6th album.
