Being that it is a festival, and that PJ likes to play long shows, my dream set (while trying to remain realistic ) would be:
Pre-Set: Guaranteed (Ed Solo)
Main Set: Can't Keep, Comatose, World Wide Suicide, Gods' Dice, Animal, In Hiding, Marker In The Sand, Rats, Whipping, Jeremy, Given To Fly, Who You Are, In My Tree, Undone, Insignificance, Severed Hand, Do The Evolution, Life Wasted, Even Flow, Blood
Encore 1: You Are, Red Mosquito, Daughter (WMA), Cropduster, Grievance, Rearviewmirror, Last Exit
Encore 2: Spin the Black Circle, State of Love and Trust, Lukin, Crazy Mary, Present Tense
Encore 3: Footsteps, Once, Alive, Yellow Ledbetter
my hope is a "release" opener. the chill-down-the-spine level would be very high for this.
and "indifference" just so i can be apart of 70,000 strong screaming "i will scream my lungs out, till it fills this roooooooom!"
but honestly..i trust eddie. he seems to know exactly what to play for each crowd.
In My Tree is also my favorite PJ song from my favorite album. Since 2003 they have been playing a reworked version of the song, so it is quite different.
Release (another favorite of mine) would be a great opener for Roo. I'd hope for that to be followed by Interstellar Overdrive > Corduroy.
If they play Indifference I will just be even more disappointed that Ben Harper is not there this year, even though I have seen Ben join PJ for that song before.
I just hope this is not an all greatest hits / radio songs set like Lollapalooza was last year (with the exception of Education and No More).

Man I hope they play Yellow Ledbetter. I agree with most of the other songs everyone else said, especially the older stuff, but as long as they play Yellow Ledbetter I'll be happy.
there's not a chance they don't play ledbetter. that, evenflow and alive are the three guarantees.

I wouldn't call the guarantees. I've only seen three Pearl Jam shows, but I've never seen Ledbetter and they didn't play Alive one of the shows. Even Flow and Given To Fly are pretty much the closest thing to guarantees. That being said, the generally close off festival sets with Ledbetter, so it may well be a lock for Bonnaroo.

I would love for them to close their set with Little Wing -> Maggot Brain -> Yellow Ledbetter -> Little Wing -> Star Spangled Banner -> Their second set
I also need to hear a Release or Long Road opener.

They will definitely play Evenflow, after that I think Betterman is more of a sure thing than Given to Fly, although I expect those will all be played.

A good example of how they've reworked it is on 'Live at the Garden' for those curious. That's a great DVD overall, and a really good example of what this band is capable of.
Last Exit, Save You, WWS, Do the Evolution, Evenflow, Insignificance, Brain of J, Given to Fly, Porch, Dissident, Down, Betterman/Save it for Later, Jeremy, Not for You, Life Wasted, Hard to Imagine, The Kids are Alright, Rearviewmirror
Encore 1: Gimmie Some Truth (Ed solo), Smalltown, Daughter/tag, Wishlist, Present Tense, Black Encore 2: Wasted Reprise, Hail,Hail , Corduroy, Crazy Mary, RITFW, Yellow Ledbetter Encore 3: Alive
just thought of a possibility with pearl jam... they have been known to go over their "curfews" at ampitheatre shows. i don't believe a headliner or i can't remember hearing of any band for that matter, going over their set time at roo. but if pj goes on after 9 and they are still rocking around midnight, they won't stop. would roo pull the plug?

Probably not....I doubt they'll play over 3 hours, but that doesn't mean I don't want them to. I don't think Roo would wanna piss off a headliner like that, besides the latenights never start at 12:00 on the dot so I doubt they'd conflict and if people wanted to leave then they would.
My ideal set list would include: Black Daughter Jeremy Even Flow Better Man Last Kiss Wasted Reprise Courduroy Elderly Woman Yellow Ledbetter Release Unemployable Severed Hand Babba O'Riley Finish with Alive

It would go in order as follows:
Lukin Dissident In My Tree Off He Goes Hail Hail Given To Fly Better man Corduroy Rockin' in the free world(With Caleb Followill of K>O>L) Wish List Last Kiss Yellow Ledbetter
I'm willing to put money on them closing with Yellow Ledbetter.
I was so sure they were going to close with yellow ledbetter at lollapalooza last year, but they didnt even play it at all. They actually closed with Rockin in the Free World and brought a whole host of celbreties on stage to dance around like Dennis Rodman and Lance Armstrong. I was really great.
I'm really excited about seeing PJ... I've been getting more into their more recent albums and have to say that they are as strong now as they ever were. My question is this:
Is it safe to say that they will give us a 2 1/2 - 3 hour show? If so, I'd imagine the setlist to be of biblical proportions.

a. thier newest album is the best thing theyve done since no code. it is excellent.
b. they will play as long as they are allowed. they frequently pay the fine to blow past venue curfews. i cant imagin what they will do on the farm.

Here's a question that I guess I could put in this thread. What songs are they MOST LIKELY to play? I'm not a huge fan, only know the hits, etc. Though I know they mix their setlists up a lot, what ten songs or so do they play more than others these days? Thanks!
