Honestly I'd almost cry. Those two are by far the two biggest names on the lineup for me.
Sigur Ros has Saturday on their website and until I see otherwise I'm assuming they will get late night.
It just seems logical that MMJ would play right after Pearl Jam, which we are also assuming are on Saturday at this point.
Please let MMJ be Friday night!!!!!!!!
these are the biggest draws for me too. I also hope that Kanye's supposed late night set doesn't overlap with MMJ and Sigur Ros because I'm really, really excited for him too.

I like his albums alot, and he was in my top 10, but the more I read about his Glow in the Dark show, and then went to youtube and saw videos, the more I got excited. He is now a solid #3 behind Sigur Ros and MMJ. Let's hope his supposed Thurdsday time slot works out. Those would be my three headliners, with PJ as the icing on the Bonnaroo cake!

I really want MMJ to play Friday after Metallica. It'd be perfect! I'd be able to get up close for Pearl Jam and not feel like I have to leave early to get a spot for MMJ, and during Metallica's set, I could just camp out in a spot for MMJ's show.

It's pretty amazing how many folks, like me, are really looking forward to both Sigur Ros and MMJ. I don't really feel that the two bands have all that much in common, but it seems like there are tons of people who fear that potential conflict like the plague. If they are scheduled at the same time, I can't exactly fault the organizers for doing so.
HOWEVER, I have a much harder time imagining that they would put Phil Lesh and Friends against Levon Helm's Ramble on the Road (who is scheduled for Saturday like Sigur Ros). Of course, no one knows if Helm will get a late night set, but I see him as a very likely candidate considering the structure of his Midnight Rambles (multiple hour sets, lots of special guests).
Maybe Sigur Ros and/or Levon Helm is listed for Saturday because they're playing after midnight on Friday night...

It would almost ruin my Bonnaroo to be honest.
Superfly knows their audience and knows how to spread them out though. And they have to know that pitting two bands with huge "indie" appeal against each other is a bad move.
Seriously you are fighting over the same fans putting these bands in the same time slot. It makes more sense to be Sigur Ros vs. Phil vs. Electronic something or other vs. Hip-Hop (hopefully not Kanye).
Once again, I'm assuming that Sigur Ros and Levon Helm will play Saturday night. To me, it would make more sense to have MMJ that night than it would to have Phil Lesh. I really really hope I'm wrong.
I also think it would make a ton of sense to throw Kanye in there on either night, but I'm hoping he plays Thursday against something like Dark Star Orchestra or anything else jammy, so I would be able to see him without missing something I REALLY want to see.

If they conflict it will be Bonnaroo TREASON to the music lovers who know how amazing both shows are and how epic they are gonna both be and make us be forced to choose.
It's a tough decision, that's for sure... MMJ will be an incredible show, no doubt, but Sigur Ros will be one of the more unique shows of the weekend, and I can't pass that up. Plus, I personally like Sigur Ros' music a little more than MMJ, not that they should be compared at all.
i almost hope they play at the same time. it will split the crowd and allow everyone to see so you don't have people spilling way back out of the tents.

MMJ will be on a stage. And if Sigur Ros is late night, not the same night as MMJ, they would be up against Phil. It would split the crowd decently. But that would still be one packed tent!

As I mentioned in another thread, these are my top two bands of the weekend. If they are pitted against one another, it will be a decision I am not ready to make.
I agree with the post that MMJ tours all the time, and who knows when the next time we will be able to see Sigur Ros. But that doesn't make this decision easier.
This man came up to me just the other day, asked me I'd been born again. I told him, "I didn't think I had." That I had been rejected. But I think, Hell's got all the good bands anyway. And Bonnaroo.
well, you ask me why i'm drunk all the time it levels my head and eases my mind i just walk along and stroll and sing i see better days and i do better things

I'm thinking I'll have to go with MMJ over Sig R, Levon over Sig R, prob. Levon over MMJ. I really hope I don't have to make any of these choices. And I would probly just wind up running back and forth.
Now Levon vs. Ros... that's a good bit more difficult for me. At this point, if any of these three overlap, I'd have a very hard time choosing: Levon, Allman, Sigur Ros. Throw in ZPZ, and you've got a scheduling clusterfuck ready to happen.
...See MMJ because otherwise I will never forgive myself. Just like after I missed the '06 show. Now I have to see everyone talk about how epic it was.

... mmj no doubt, hopefully someone will tape the sigur ros set and i can watch it later, but i can't miss my morning jacket, i would cry just like i did when i missed the flaming lips last year when i fell asleep during the Police.
but yea, im hoping they are playing after metallica so i can just camp out in front of the which stage.
