Their MySpace page now lists them as playing on 6/13/08. Hoping that is correct b/c that would clear up any problem of them conflicting with Sigur Ros.

The only real conflict possibility for me. Soooo glad.

Why would that be? They've already announced that MMJ are late night on Which AND unless the Roo formula is changing there won't be anyone playing against Metallica. Or do I misunderstand your post?
Last year I was shocked by the amount of people that left The Police for a Flaming Lips spot. I am sure even more will leave Metallica for a MMJ spot.
I think you are correct on this one Joey T. According to the Power Rankings, My Morning Jacket will be the most populated (at least from Inforoo people).

Im actually happy a little bit that Metallica will be headlining, so i can secure a prime spot at the Which tent.
I am also sad that I didn't leave the Police early to get a good spot for the Lips.
And the Lips should be at roo every year...thats my opinion.

Yeah that's exactly what I was saying...and also alluding to a couple people suggesting everyone boycott metallica's set a while back...I left about halfway through the police last year and still got a pretty decent spot for the flaming lips, but I'm guessing if I wait that long to leave metallica for mmj I'll be SOL...I think it's pretty genius logistically as far as spreading out the crowd goes.

I'll at least stay for a bit of Metallica, but will definintely duck out early to get a decent spot for MMJ. That being said, to those of you who have done this before, can you still hear the main act at the second stage? Cause if so, I may duck out even earlier.

it would be sweet if they had monitors at which stage and then they could play a feed from the mainstage on them...
this is good, not only does this mean that i'll have something to do during metallica, but hopefully this means they wont conflict with superjam (usually later on in the fest, right?)

Superjam has been in three spots:
'02-'05 Sunday in a tent preheadliner
'06 Saturday late night
'07 Friday late night
Unfortunately, I don't see Superjam changing from late night. Which means I'll probably miss it this year, or at least most of it. Seeing how Sigur Ros and MMJ are my top 2 for the festival, it would take a monster Superjam to draw me away.

there is no way in any galaxy, universe, or planet that sigur ros will not be nighttime. they are tailor-made for the post-headliner spot, with bands like the disco biscuits or gogol bringing us to sunrise.

i know i'm lame, but i totally fell asleep at their show in 06. not because of them, but i'd never been to a festival like that before, and i was WIPED OUT after the first full day. i did make it to blackalicious/common/lyrics born afterwards, but i'm looking forward to seeing MMJ while i'm wide awake!

What exactly is superjam? This is my first year goin so im tryin to get up to speed with some of this stuff.
