First off...thanks for the info....it is greatly appreciated.
Second, so you mean that there was no line for that show for hours beforehand...or do you mean that it doesn't matter when you get there that you will still be able to be close?
Also, are your comments based on it being at the Cannery Ballroom instead of the (smaller) Mercy Lounge (where this show was originally scheduled). Thanks again...karma!
I was really really looking forward to having the bragging rights of seeing them in a much smaller venue.
DEFINTELY get there early for the MAGIC WANDS. I saw their Nashville debut on Saturday and it was great!!! Their set will be short, but very sweet. Just listen to their demos on Myspace and you'll be good to go.

The Cannery Ballroom is still a really small venue. I've seen the White Stripes, the Wood Brothers, Imogen Heap, and several other artists there. The only problem is that you need to get there when the doors open, so you aren't stuck behind one of the several columns that potentially could block your view of the stage. I'll be there Tuesday night. See you all there!
I think this is probably too late for you...but the show was incredible...my jaw was on the floor during Blue Veins...unbelievable. Only a couple of nit-picky things could have made it better... With the venue...
1) We got there at about 2:00 in order to secure a spot at the front...but the merch. guy was slacking (despite having been there for HOURS) and cost us about 3 rows (but we got posters!)...we were still really close....so no harm really done. 2) A guy working there told me twice that no cameras were allowed...so I didn't try to get one in (for fear that getting busted would mean losing ground in the line)....practically everyone there had cameras (and not just cells)...they didn't even check...
With the show...
1) I wish they had played Five on the Five and These Stones Will Shout. 2) I think they need to fine-tune Carolina Drama (which is an incredible song) to be more emotional (like Jolene)...but still so pleased they played it.
Anyway, again, that is being so nitpicky...overall liked the venue and was blown away by the show...
Did any of you get the handbills and/or the poster?
The poster wasn't really that cool and there was no way I was shelling out $30 for it. The handbills were a good deal, but the girl in front of me got the very last set off the wall.
