34 here. Still get carded when buying beer sometimes, but I can't deny the real truth. I'm a big believer in forgetting age and acting like you want ... I've been known to skip for no apparent reason, require fifteen-minutes stops when walking by parks to play on the merry-go-round, and blow bubbles even when nobody else is around to enjoy them! I figure, why should little kids have all the fun? ;D
for those younger than me(31)..don't ever turn to the darkside... so many get older, gain that mortality perspective, start freaking out about the afterlife, have kids and get grumpy... next thing you know you're not the openminded freeloving soul that you once were that was idealistic about life... fortunately i haven't and neither has pops(50 years old)...
keep in mind that the things you enjoy aren't "for young people" or ever say something like "i'm too old or mature for that." you'll enjoy your life so much more.. i'm sure those older than I can verify this.
I am 51 and coming solo to my 3rd Bonnaroo -- because my friends ( all ages) have jobs, school, kids, etc. The Dark Side!
My husband of 22 years can't handle the crowds but he is with me in spirit! Jo Mama
too funny....i'm an INTJ....another mentally profiled person.....i hated having to take those d**n tests.....they took for-freakin-ever....
btw i'm 26.....my best bud is 28 and he also had problems last year with a few ppl hollering "narc!" when trying to get some goodies......but it all worked out in the end.....
"Work like you don't need the <a href="http://www.ntsearch.com/search.php?q=money&v=55">money</a>...<a href="http://www.ntsearch.com/search.php?q=Love&v=55">Love</a> like you've never been hurt...and DANCE like no one is watching." ~unknown
I'll be 32 the week prior to the fest, and even though I grew up enough to take care of the family, I still play like a 18yr old with no responsibilities.
Organized religion destroys who we are by inhibiting our actions... by inhibiting our decisions, out of... out of fear of some... some intangible parent figure who... who shakes a finger at us from thousands of years ago and says... and says, "Do it - Do it and I'll fu(kin' spank you."
Hey Jomamma, Thanks for your post. I'm 40 and feeling pretty old lately. I'm looking forward to bonnaroo to wake me up, and get back in touch with who I really am inside. Wish me luck. I hope to meet you.
