Any Eagles fans out there? Show some love. It's been far too long, and we finally made it to the big game. I've been a fan since the Randall Cunningham days, so for me, this is uncharted territory. ONE MORE WIN!!! ONE MORE WIN!!!
I'm not a huge fan of Philly, my friend is a huge Pats fan so I don't like them just to mess with him. I'm rooting for my numbers to come up. I love office pools.
No worries. It'll be a great game. No way the Eagles get blown out like the Steelers did. I think with the help of our little friend T.O. back in the mix, scoring won't be a problem. It will be a defensive battle. But, GOD can't this game get here already. 2 weeks is tourture.
Less than a week now. I can't believe there aren't any Eagles fans out there in bonnaroo land. FOOLS. That's alright. I guess I'll be the only one bragging about the victory when it happens, and it will. Sorry New England, your time is up. The Red Sox curse was broken. Now it's Philly's turn. 20-17 Eagles.
GO EAGLES! South Jersey is rooting for them. Everyone is showing their pride, even daycares! I have my jersey that i'm proudly wearing EVERYWHERE, even work
If the eagles dont win (which I HOPE they do!!!!), they'll put up one hell of a fight!
Donovan McNabb, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven,God was showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded Eagles flag in the window. "This house is yours for eternity, Donovan," said God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here."
McNabb felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house. On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the corner. It was a 3-story mansion with a blue and red sidewalk, a 50 foot tall flagpole with an enormous Patriots logo flag, and in every window, a Pat Patriot towel. Mcnabb looked at God and said "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an all-pro QB, I hold many NFL records, and I even went to the Hall of Fame."
God said "So what's your point Donovan?"
"Well, why does Tom Brady get a better house than me?"
God chuckled, and said "Donovan, that's not Tom's house, it's mine."
Just ran my PS2 Madden 2005 Super Bowl simulation to start my Super Sunday.
I played with the Eagles against the computer and the Eagles won 24-10.
I played with the Pats and the Pats won 24-23.
Average the two for a Super Bowl prediction of Eagles over Patriots 23.5-17.
I actually like both teams quite a bit and am just looking forward to a great game, but if I were betting on this game there is no way in hell I would bet against Brady and Bellichek (whose name I should probably spellicheck).
But the joke's on you Pats fans. Enjoy your reigning champion status, cause you only got a few hours remaining.
If by a few hours you meant 12 more months, then yes, us Pats fans will enjoy our reigning champion status. The Eagles played well, but those interceptions were crucial. Better luck next year! The dynasty lives on!
Average the two for a Super Bowl prediction of Eagles over Patriots 23.5-17.
Is anyone impressed that I came remarkably close to the final score even if I had the winner wrong? No? Well I am.
I caught some flack at my Super Bowl party for not openly rooting for Chicago-born McNabb, but I've always been a bigger fan of Rodney Harrison who is from the same area as me in Chicago. If I'd gone to Catholic school, I think I would have been in his class. Am I the only one who thinks Harrison should have been the MVP?
It was a great game and the Eagles came very close. If they can make it back I think the experience will prove extremely valuable. The NFL can change enormously from year to year but its hard to picture anyone in the NFC except for maybe the Falcons being able to get past the Eagles next year. (Go Bears )
yea yea yea. let the bragging begin. what can I say. I honestly believed that the Eagles, despite being extreme underdogs, could pull it out. but I knew we would have to play mistake-free football. Which we didn't, and therefore was our demise. You can't give the Pats any room to work, and you gotta make the best of every little mistake they make. Which we didn't. Everyone played thier best, except the one guy that had to. I'm a little upset at McNabb, cause he rarely throws interceptions. Only in big games, it seems. Oh well, no one expected us to win, so I guess no big loss there. At least we shut up all the critics that said the game would be a blowout. Small consolation.
