yeah..i live around philly and went to school in the poconos (near where Yeungling is brewed) and if you order a "lager" at any bar in between those two places you will get a yeungling. So it is known as "lager" around these parts.

That makes sense. Yang is my house beer - I get a case of it every week. It says "LAGER" in big letters on the frickin' cans, and I STILL thought it was an amber ale. Color me stupified.

Kalamazoo Brewery makes some good beers, Oberon or solson,They used to do a cherry stout and we would mix it with a lighter beer like a black and tan,Was in Ireland when I was about 21 and lived for a few months and got to be really fond of a wee guiness
Three Floyds is the best if you like hoppy beers, they have Alpha King and Pride and Joy. Two Brothers is also good with some interesting brews, lit there Monarch Wit Spring Beer. Anyone know what breweries are going to sponsor Roo?
I picked up a brew from them Brian Boro. Any good. I haven't tried it year and am wondering what to expect.
I really miss the abundance of great beers in the Northwest. In the Bay Area they have a few microbrews, but not many that really have knocked my socks off.

Cans!? Nah man, you gotta get bottles. It's 10 times better out of a bottle.

Of course bottles are better! But they are NOT cheaper! I can get a case of cans for $15 - case of bottles is like $19. That adds up after a few weeks - and it's the same brew. Best thing you can get in a suitcase of cans, I'll tell you that much.

Warsteiner is now available in cans (Hooray! I won't have to smuggle in my usual 'Roo beer!). I'll throw my $0.02 in and say Warsteiner blows Yuengling out of the water, taste-wise. Athough I think it was running closer to $20 for a suitcase of 24 cans.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, I've just never seen a Yuengling can before, it kind of excites me!

I can't drink lager out of a can...it's a sacriliege.
Yuengling for me is my standard compromise between price and quality. At least here in Philly it's pretty cheap but decent. And the cans definately exist, bottles are way better. Maybe the cans are only common in PA?
